the relationship in LBFAD is more akin to QK and CF's arc, rather than YT and YQ

i've put it off for the same reason, i don't think my heart can handle that drama

as much as i wanna watch GMP, i've been putting it off for a few years now for the simple fact of knowing it's not a happy ending, my heart can't take that sort of stuff

while i haven't finished this drama yet, this drama is truly the only one i've seen that has been able to fill the void since ashes of love

yeah she's only a guest role, i wish she had true role in it

yeah if anything the empress was worse than the emperor in ashes of love

the fact that all of the main leads are supposed to be in a new drama together except for landy li makes me so sad, they could've had a full reunion

idk if we watched diff versions but i'm on episode 20 and he hasn't told her anything

i'm only on episode 19 but man chao feng's hypocrisy makes me so annoyed. the audacity he has to talk about loyalty or blaming her for having different views when he's the one who has built their whole relationship on lies, and was the first to follow his own views instead of listening to her point of view.

it's your choice to watch the works of whatever actors you choose, but it makes no sense to blame her for her fans. she has no control over what some of her crazy fans say/do.

so shang gu and bai jue get back together in the novel? i guess they are changing things though since they aren't going to be in this drama it seems

even china has been cracking down on anything remotely similar to anything japanese in their media, i definitely can't see korea becoming more open to the idea anytime in the near future

i agree, i feel like korean and japanese media are quite different and are better suited towards their respective culture. while i generally believe korean dramas to be higher quality overall, i don't think they'd be able to do japanese media justice. there's just something about the way japan adapts manga into dramas that, while sometimes may not be as realistic, just seems to fit a lot more. i've watched a lot of japanese and korean dramas over the years, and the styles are just too different from each other. i can't imagine a korean adaptation of japanese media being as good as if japan adapted it themselves, regardless of the actual production quality. likewise, i don't think japan would be able to do korean media justice either.

they could've split it into 2 parts like immortal samsara, love like the galaxy, or the blue whisper

agreed, he's not a perfect person, but he was one of the few characters who actually had morals overall, and his main goal was just to protect his daughter, despite the fact that she wasn't biologically his. if he was a shitty person he would've disowned her after he found out, but all he wanted was for her to be safe and happy.

but at the same time he kind of was a nobody, while he was significant to the plot, he was never really significant as a person in general. he was basically just yeon jin's dog.

so the male characters can be shirtless but female ones can't? both men and women have areolas/nipples and breast tissue
