did xu qi an become forgotten in the novel as well or is that new to the drama? i saw people say there were differences with the ending of this compared to what happened in the novel but i never saw anyone say what specifically was different

pretty sure they've chosen lin an as the only love interest and dropped the harem trope in the drama

would be silly if they didn't do a season 2, but even if they announce it, it will still be a while before it comes out

there's actually like 19 people in this that were in NLB, and at least 6-7 were main/important characters

not the casting i was expecting tbh, although i'm sure they'll do well. i think seo ye ji would've fit the role of FL if she had come back to acting T_T

honestly they may as well not have a second season if the cast from season 1 doesn't return

separate the drama from the fans, it's not fair to everyone who put so much effort into making a drama just because some of the viewers are annoying. if you actually didn't like the drama then that's one thing, but it's weird to rate it based on not liking another commenter

if there's a season 2 it wouldn't come out this year unless they've already filmed it. if they haven't started working on it then it will take a long time, especially due to the CGI

I like how so many of the cast from New Life Begins is in this drama too, and TXW was the FL in that one as well

yeah, like in New Life Begins (which ironically has many of the same people from this drama), the ML is forced to enter a political marriage but he makes it clear that he is faithful to the FL

Doesn't seem like they're going the harem route though, and i honestly hope they don't in the future. It's such a tacky trope

PA is apparently getting a second season but it's kinda confusing. i'm not sure if it's meant to be a remake or a spinoff or what, because it's listed as a second season on MDL but there are a lot of different characters and the FL is only 17 so they can't add romance

unless that's a new recent rule, which it could be but i don't know, there were second season/parts of dramas that aired last year, it's just that they had the rule of having to wait a certain period of time before airing it. i've also heard of some second seasons for other dramas being in production, and Joy of Life is apparently getting a third season

at least a year, but probably longer if it isn't already filmed
