In my humble opinion, I think XJ was not angry because of she was once HRF. But because he has already feelings for her and HY hide something so crucial from him which also triggered the fact that HY had always been with him since the academy, yet when MINGSHUI (or whatever that called) battle happened, he lost his parents then HRF is the reason why 30k soldiers died too. He knew theres more to it than meets the eye, but at the moment there was no other choice but to vent his anger towards her because of that incident and the fact that he already loves her but is conflicted 😭🫡
