Looking forward to can this love be translated. Go Youn Jung is the hope for a future of lead actresses in drama…
I really liked her in this series! Her character wasn't just smiles and cute outfits. She was quirky and goofy and often displayed discouragement. As she kept a straight face most of the time, when she did use her face for expression it was fun to watch.

"things that matter most in a show". To you. Please accept that I don't need to see the world the way that you do and might have my own reasons for watching a show as well as my own reasons for writing a review. I don't appreciate being schooled as to how or why I should act in relation to Kdramas, which unfortunately brings me back to a question I posed earlier: Why are you doing this? What do you hope to achieve by lecturing me about how to watch a Kdrama? What dog do you have in this fight? Do you write reviews on this site? Can I read them? You have now spent more time critiquing my review of this show and me personally than most people would spend writing their own review. You suggested we not attack each other personally but yet that's all you have done in your last two posts. Do you thrive on this conflict?

Let me start by saying that I am not a worldwide drama series expert. I tend to only watch Kdramas on Netflix and then only finish about 2/3 of the ones that I start. I like many of these shows because they "seem" more innocent than American dramas, likely due to the censorship prevalent in Korea. I didn't enjoy Squid Game 1 and won't likely watch the new season. I want to believe that these shows reflect a "goodness" in Korean life that has been lost in much of American culture. I enjoy many of these shows for their depiction of a Korean national spirit of hope and unity. I do like the pretty actresses and while I don't find many of the male actors to be as handsome as they are made out to be in the show, there are several actors whose roles I have really enjoyed. (Cho Seung-woo comes to mind.)
At the same time there are some things that I find odd in many of these shows, something that I haven't noticed in American dramas. For example, the characters at times seem unable to spot someone who is listening to their conversation and is standing in plain sight. It's in the same vein that I made my original comment about the ML not being able to figure out that the FL was being selectively mute. As I said in my original post, these things annoy me. I just don't understand how it is possible, which is a different kind of disbelief than about time travel, ghosts, and other common themes. All of which doesn't mean that I don't like the show, just parts of it. Which explains (to those commenters who brought it up) how I can give the show a 7.5 rating and still watch it.

There is a difference between a "simple online discussion" and attacking someone's intelligence. My opinion about the show is one thing, my opinion about you personally (not very positive at the moment) is something else. You don't have to agree with my thoughts about the show but why demean me in the process? Sure, if you are the writer or someone involved in the production, I get that you would be personally offended that I criticized the show. Are you casting aspersions at everyone who criticizes this series? Why?
Look, I get that you're not a fan of slow-burn romances, but calling the ML 'stupid' is just plain mean. He's…
Feel better now? Did I kick one of your sacred cows? Boo hoo. Actually, this weekend's episodes were much better...which doesn't change my OPINION that the FL's selective muteness was carried on 3-5 episodes longer than it needed to be. Thank goodness this series ends next weekend so we don't have to have the typical unnecessary side plots.
