this poll is biased towards dramas that have easily accessible subs and cliched dramas that are easier to watch for people who don't watch a lot of jdramas (which are most of this site's users). it's also obvious that the creator of the poll isn't well-versed in jdramas and j-ent bc why are yamaken and hoshino gen under the idol actor category lol

On Hanako to Anne Jul 26, 2016
the actors don't excite me as much as the other recent asadoras (because i don't know them) but it's about the translator of anne of green gables... soft spot right there so i gotta put this is plan to watch. but i want to watch so many asadoras because gochisousan was such a pleasure and these things are so long i'm stressed as to how i'm gonna make it through all of them ahhhh.

On my Taipei-Jakarta flight with EVA Air, international flights often have foreign films not too long after they show in their home countries/before DVD releases.

Watched on the plane today, so good. One of the best live-action movies. Considering the manga's pretty short, the adaptation was very faithful save for some details. But even then they compensated the omitted details with a very harmonious plot overall, I didn't feel like anything was lacking. Great movie about friendship. (Naho-Kakeru moments were really cute too, despite not really being the main point of the story)

On Nagasaki: Memories of My Son May 27, 2016
Watched this in Taiwan with Mandarin subtitles, so only understood about 80-90% of the dialogue, but it was good enough to make me cry buckets so I give it a 10/10. Touching and beautifully executed.
