I had to drop this after ep 8.. I knew BaBi wasn’t perfect but there were so many things I admired about him: how gentle he was, kind of quiet yet confident. As far as I know, this is the first kdrama where a male character was SO affectionate. He was so comforting. Asian guys are usually not very loving or reassuring but I loved how BaBi would always look for opportunities to reassure YuMi with a touch here or there, patting her shoulder, holding her hand, idk maybe my love language has changed to where physical touch is more up on my list now lol Anyway where can you see a drama where the 2ML becomes the ML?! What a dream come true! Probably my favorite scene was when YuMi and BaBi’s tongue cells were dancing hahaha the cells deff made this show so unique and much more funny. It’s so good in so many ways, but I think I’m too emotionally attached to it to where I can’t just sit back and watch it for entertainment lol I also love how realistic it was. I don’t usually like sort of slice of life dramas but at least season 1 was a good watch. And season 2 ep 1-8 or 7 was really good too. I think it was too realistic or relatable to watch past that haha I’ll likely go back and skim thru ep 9-14 but if there will be a season 3 then I’d deff watch it because of the uniqueness of the drama.

Oh yes definitely. I love Kim Hae Sook as an actress but I cannot stand the QD character so I fast forward her scenes sometimes lol.. or at least look offscreen when she comes on 😅 I knew a narcissist like the QD so she triggers me 😅 Because of that I wasn’t sure if I missed why he said he was going to or missed if someone else wanted him to leave.

Yes, he is!! ♥️ Also, I’m SO happy that Prince Bogeum redeemed himself this episode! I was still salty about him leaving GP (…or should I say, CP now lol) Seongnam hanging off the cliff. He admitted he got greedy. Also, was it just me, or did that scene with Bogeum & the Queen make anyone else teary eyed? 🥲 It was so touching. But I loved that she still gave Consort Tae the opportunity to be the one he could rely on and truly be most vulnerable with in the end. Another great episode!

I skip most of her scenes. I read on here earlier they do the same but wasn’t sure if it was her acting or her character. I’ve watched her in other dramas and she can definitely act. So ya her character is just beyond ugly in this one. Blechhhhh 🤮

I agree that this was the best episode so far!!!! I loved when Prince Boegum threw that cheat scroll away and said that he would side with GP Seongnam till the end. So good! I felt so irritated when Prince Uiseong outed Sam Deok in front of the King to take credit for GP Gyesong’s findings, but relieved when the King said he shouldn’t have brought him if he knew he was a rebel. I was hopeful PU would get kicked out of the contest then but… I know he won’t be Crown Prince, no way. If the scholars are somehow persuaded to choose him then I’m sure something will happen by the end of the drama to give the crown to someone deserving like PB or GPS. I liked PB until he didn’t help GPS up from the cliff. He’s redeemed himself so far but I still don’t fully trust him because of that lol
I don’t understand why the rating is so low, this drama is SO good! I’m only on episode 6 so far but it’s definitely one of the funniest period dramas I’ve watched. I’m a huge fan of Kim Min Jae, he’s got one of the best voices in kdramas 😍😍😍 I feel like he doesn’t get to show it off as much in this drama but he is fun to watch. Kim Sang Kyung is OUTSTANDING in this drama too. It’s crazy to see him go from his character in Crowned Clown to this funny physician. The FML is so cute, I love her smart but still humble, forever curious, determined character. Amazing acting by everyone. The kids, grandma, and can’t forget to mention Man Bok 🤣
