No you're right haha. They left out Murong Wanru but I think they kind of merged her with Baili Mingxiang. I think they merged a couple characters because if they put everything and every character scheme from the novel into the drama then it would be way longer than 48 episodes. I'm pretty sure I heard that China banned time-travel dramas so they had to leave that out but I don't know if that's been revoked because Oh My Emperor was time-travel and it was released this year. I haven't finished the novel yet so I don't know if Baili Mingxiang is actually as iffy in the novel as she is in the drama so don't take my word for the merged characters! (:

I'd say most parts follow it but to fit over a thousand chapters of a novel into 48 episodes, there's bound to be some differences haha. Still worth the watch though!

I haven't watched Secret of Three Kingdoms but I have started on Legend of Fu Yao. I'd say it kind of leans towards Fu Yao [only because I haven't watched SOTK] because Yunxi is independent in a way by being an expert at poisons but I noticed that she does need a lot of saving in the drama. Regardless it is definitely worth a try if you're into that palace fighting for the throne stuff, having/gaining power, leads having good chemistry, etc. I may just be biased but I think the two leads having great chemistry is worth enough to give it a try! (:

I'm really going to regret starting this so early when there's 40+ episodes to be released. I really like the male lead so far, perfect casting with Yang Mi.
