I sure will watch this, bit was sad to see a new Appledog. Actually I would want a short drama with Mi Xiaofei and Yaya as leads, they sure had chemistry in GGS.
Don't get me wrong, I like this adaptation very much... Episode 3 really got me crying. For someone who have read the manga, I like that the were able to show the agony of Akira missing Yuuki in the last episode. But I WAS REALLY HOPING FOR A BETTER ENDING. I mean they could have added atleast 3 mins more of showing that they were together until they grew old (as in the manga)
But overall great job! The actors chemistry was superb, their acting was great.
Everytime I watch a Chinese Rom-Com I'd always say I wish Janice Wu played the lead. She is just so likeable and can develop the best chemistry with all ML. She is very easy in the eyes, I hope she does more Rom-Coms soon.

I couldn't agree more... but its based on a shortanga so it figures, I wish they would have just made it into a 3 hr film instead to atlease minimize the agony of waiting for the next episode.

Just finished this one today! They were already doing not just good but great at the start of the drama, you could feel a fresh new take on a story that haf already been told countless of times.
Unfortunately it seems that the writers and production staff took a break the middle part of the story and decided to just wing it out and dragged the story to the dumpster. It did not just dragged but downright bored me to death, I skipped most part compared to what I watched from episode 25 onwards.
It's a Gem to begin with. The actors were great at portraying each roles. Surprisingly I did not skip any part of this drama. The chemistry of both FL and ML (past and present) was great. Chan as a support role is a scene of its own that can captivate viewers. I like the progression of the story. Good chemistry build up The sweet moments was executed flawlessly and you definately need to watch each episode till the end because they know how to make you want more every after each ending.
Wow! Crazy chemistry not just the first lead but also the 2FL and 2ML, if you want a Light ROM-COM with sugar included this is the way to go.
I like that there are no complicated conflicts. Yes the story is predictable but it still brings you that fresh perspective on simple young love. Yes the FL really stole the show as she acts naturally cute and clingy that will not irritate you unlike others I have seen before, but the male lead is trully a charming charismatic dude. Both second couple were also able to tickle my fancy as they are lovey dovey cute.
lastly the kissing scenes are one of the most realistic kisses I have seen. 9/10 for this one
I mean I understand they are just testing the waters on how it will be received by the viewers Itdefinately could have been one movie, but the marketing did really great as to keep its viewers wanting more by giving them 10 min episodes.
For a testing phase I believe they did great Good job to both the actors aswell It was well worth my binge watch for the day
