Who you cast would depend on what you want the final product to look like. If you want to keep the original vibe…
And I don't actually agree with their whickam choice. He's supposed to be handsome and kinda smooth yes, but he's also supposed to be able to tell a whopper of a sad story and have it be believed. I can't picture their choice doing that. He needs to be handsome, but the fact that he's not actually a nice guy needs to be a twist. like "what??" I mean we know the story but...still. Jung soon I can actually kinda see it already. He was good in I need romance 3. He was smooth, has the sexiest voice, and also came across as sweet, but he also plays a very convincing scumbag. Which is why he's widely hated lol. Or someone who's good at jovial and friendly but then wham....lol. Nam Goong Min might be a bit old but he'd be a good choice. The female lead in Chief Kim would be a good lizzy. She might be a bit old, but if you do modern that wouldn't matter so much. I have no idea for Jane. Miss Bingly you could go a bit comical with or straight up cold "I hate her" bitch. Their choice would be hilarious. Sorta depends on how close to the original you want to stay. The original Miss Bingly wasn't comedic at all. She was two faced and probably quite pretty. And very arrogant.

nice choices! If you mean Song Joong-ki who played lead in DOTS, you might like his supporting character in Sungkyunkwan…
yes, that's who I mean. I'll have to check it out, heard good things about that one. He's so very cute. He'd be a fantastic bingly.

Title Mr. Right
Reminds me a lot of the movie Hitch. Which was a movie I really enjoyed. At least the main character anyway and…
That is so what I was thinking. I hope the female lead is better than eva Mendes was...she's not a fav. I love the premise though. Hitch only a cdrama. Sweet

Who you cast would depend on what you want the final product to look like. If you want to keep the original vibe of the story you would cast one way, and if you wanted it to really have a kdrama or c drama or whatever feel you'd cast another. I personally would go with chef from ghostess...don't know his name...forDarcy. He could round out the character well. He can do both arrogant and obnoxious as well as kinda adorable. He also has a more mature feel. I don't know about other characters...I don't know names but the dude from descendents of the sun would be a decent Bingley since he's adorable and does a good job of playing a sweet natured guy. That's really all I have...but ya know. This is fun lol

Agreed with Noble My Love. Haha, half the time I was enraged and then I couldn't stop watching. Sometimes it was…
perfect match was cute. See I like possessive up to the point where I am. Like the super petty jealous ones who act like a little kid about it...I understand cause I've had to bite the urge to lick my fiancee's face to claim him as mine ;P....so ya know. I get it. But too far is not awesome. Leh Ratree was mostly just soap opera level. That's the only real lakorn I've tried really. Oooooh I would hate that too, and I don't have past history with it...I tried the little 3 episode thing of my sunshine, the condensed version and it left me feeling very creepy. NOT GOOD. Yeah that's about my level. Like the petty jealousy cute stuff I like, the sulking and the "are you a little kid???" stuff. Some of the Chinese ones pull it off pretty well. Boss and me had some moments that were funny. But thai ones seem waaay too out there for me. I guess there's a difference between the series like ugly duckling or Uprince...and lakorns.

See I haven't been able to do a lakorn. I was able to watch one of the ugly duckling series but no lakorn. I did get through most of leh ratree...and it was like wtf did i just watch. Lol some of them seem way worse too. A little bit of possessive is ok, and I like overprotective....but some are just nuts.

Right a lot of it is so not ok, haha. But yeah drama land does have different rules. And it is selling a fantasy, so part of what it's selling is the idea that someone would want you that much, and some dramas can find a good line and some go too far. Noble my love wasn't too bad compared to some. It's guilty pleasure level...I'd recommend to some maybe. Honestly sometimes it depends on age, someone younger would maybe not see some of it as unhealthy..I just dislike something being presented as romantic when it's closer to abuse, I'm old and see it for what it is, at 17 or even 19 I wouldnt have

Seriously, and its enjoyable even if you feel a little guilty because in real life I'd call abuse on a huge amount of it...but I'd never recommend it for someone else. Yet, somehow I watched it twice lol.

Madame Antoine - I wanted to kill the male lead; slowly and with great pain. There's a drama I actually liked…
Agreed with Noble My Love. Haha, half the time I was enraged and then I couldn't stop watching. Sometimes it was fairy tale cheesy and then sometimes I wanted her to run away super fast. :P

Goonies, Gremlins, critters all those too, OMG can you imagine Blade orUnderworld? Asain remakes put such a different…
Right, I'm so curious about what that madness would look like. They'd be so funny and weird, and some might even be good. It's not like a western remake that would be kinda the same.

Lol I feel the same, but everything gets remade eventually.
See I love watching remakes, and seeing what someone else's interpretation is. I mean yes, some absolutely suck, but I still enjoy seeing them. Even if they aren't as good, and let's be honest they never are, I find them fun. The thing about an Asian drama remake is the style is way different from most of our western shows, so I'm fascinated by what that would look like, even if I've never seen one. I mean, I think a Japanese version of...16 Candles would be hilarious, not as good as the original obviously, but probably entertaining as hell.

See I think a Goonies remake would be hilarious in Jdrama. Like they could probably pull it off.

Weird science could be creepy but it could be hilarious too...not on your list but tbh I'm surprised they haven't done that. :P

And it's 90s but a 10 things I hate about you remake already seems like an Asian Drama thing...any country :P

Lol Now I wanna try but I fear it's bad taste. But it seems fun so I'll do it anyways.

Beautiful Gong Shim. Weird girl falls in love with a weirder boy and then they're both sucked into a Chaebol drama, much to everyone's horror.

Oh! My Venus. Girl starts out beautiful, adds padding to get ugly, then Ji Sub helps her remove the padding. Just when things are starting to get good, Chaebol strikes again, leaving only despair in it's wake.

The Master's sun. Ji Sub manages to keep Chaebol at bay mostly, only to find himself haunted by a bunch of ghosts and one rather strange girl. Unable to make his words "get lost" stick, he is forced into a haunted happy ending.

Falling For Innocence. Rich scumbag is forced by his own heart to become a sort of decent person, fall in love with a girl way too cool for him, and come face to face with a super cracked second lead. The audience can only watch as they're forced through an emotional cheese grater, and then forced to laugh seconds after having agony afflicted on their poor innocent psyches.

alright well I tried :P

Title Leh Ratree
No they aren't cousins. I think it was just how the translator translated the Thai honorific 'P.' P can be used…
Ahh, I gotcha. That does make sense. Thanks for the clarification.
