I don't think that's the case where SDM was a drama solely based on aspirations and the youth trying to live their lives on their own terms Homecha is more focused on the daily challenges faced by everyone (no age barred) and how to go about helping each other. I get the slight resemblence between the leads and their will to do everyone good but that's where the similarity ends. Imo Homecha is coming out to be more collectivistic and wholesome with its choice of characters and overall plot.
