Honestly the last ep doing the whole 2 year time skip, Pat's constantly changing hair length between scenes, wtf ever "ending" that was for the side couple and just how overlong every episode is just finally killed this for me. This could have been so good, but it wasn't. I struggled so hard to finally finish this. The actors for Jeng and Put were the only good aspects.
Unpopular opinion, I loved the first ep! I came here expecting there to be a lot more positive excitement than there seems to be. Honestly I'm surprised people thought this would be anything other than it delivered on. It went exactly where I thought it would based on the trailers. I personally loved the production value, OST and moody vibe. Story is questionable but the source material is worse- I'll stick around to see where they take it. Not sure why people think the acting is terrible etc. etc. either. I've seen much worse in more popular BLs that no one seems to bat an eyelid at bc fluffy BLs seem to just get more of a pass in that area. Isbanky and Mos are such darlings with good chemistry off screen so I'm keen to see more of their moody, messy BS storyline hahaha.
Strong showing from Star Hunter. I was really impressed with the quality production. Something I noticed is the…
Completely agree! I really enjoyed the first ep and thought the OST, moody vibe and production value were great. I feel like people are just expecting something they shouldn't be. Based on the trailer, it was exactly what I thought it'd be so I wasn't disappointed.
It's still on YouTube, they haven't removed it. From what I know, the YouTube videos are visible only for fans…
Thankyou so much! This makes sense since I was overseas when I started watching it and then came back to Australia and the eps were gone for me! I changed my VPN location to a country with access and can watch them now. Thankyou thankyou!! :)
Are you guys watching this on youtube? I swear the eps were on the MeMindY channel a few days ago. But now when I go to look they're gone and it says they're hidden?
It's giving messy af Friendzone vibes and I am here for it. :D Everyone hating this in the comments, but I'm enjoying it and looking forward to the next ep despite the overlong eps and the questionable music choice in the NC scene.
This was objectively not good at all lol, the main couple have absolutely no chemistry. But I am a sucker for BankxBonus so I have no regrets.😂 Still waiting for them to have their own drama as leads with a hopefully angsty af storyline. I can dream lol.
I've been enjoying how soft and simple this series is. I love the voices of both male leads and how Khluen looks at Dao. I actually really like Phoon too. Often the 2nd ML is too boring or is a bad or unlikeable person. Whereas Phoon is cute af with a good personality and seems to genuinely like Dao. I generally hate miscommunication tropes. But I feel like ppl are missing the point with the miscommunication in this story as it's really more about how Khluen genuinely has issues expressing himself. He says as much at the end of most recent ep. He's not trying to be this way but it's an actual character flaw he needs to work on and develop as part of the story. Whereas Dao is pretty straightforward by comparison and calls Khluen out.
It's not the same imo as in Cutie pie where the writers were like I dunno what to do too fill over 10 eps so meh, just make them literally not discuss any of their issues ever, hide who they are and just lie to each other 24/7.
I don't find Khluen boring or unlikeable either. He's not uncaring or a jerk like a lot of other unlikeable chars. He's not "boring"- he has an introverted and reserved personality which shows through the softness of his voice and actions. He says the opposite of what he means because he's scared of rejection and emotional intimacy and is still learning how to express himself. Eg. Character development- not just standard badly written miscommunication imo.
I'm finding this so dull and boring so far. Win's character is just irritatingly immature and unlikeable. Like how am I meant to suspend my belief enough to accept that ppl who have been really close friends for so many years wouldn't even try to have a normal convo to discuss the whole inheritance thing before cutting ties. The eps have been pretty repetitive so far (I'm watching on the GMMTV youtube) with just drive, argue, eat at restaurant, argue, talk to monk- repeat. I really liked Earth x Mix's chemistry in 1000 stars- but I feel absolutely nothing with them in this series. Although the PMS scene did crack me up. I'm just not feeling this one. It's not just the body swapping aspect either- since I did enjoy the Shipper a lot.
I feel like the fact I was so happy about the rejection scene shows how much I "enjoy" the stupidity of this story and the character's blatantly stupid miscommunication. Honestly just in general I think public proposals are manipulative, so Lian got what he deserved even despite everything else that is wrong with their "relationship" imo. I feel like realization of "we don't even know each other" would have been much more interesting to have early in the show. Like man imagine if the story went like the below how we all hoped- it could have been sooo much more fun and less dull. -After Lian is a prick in ep 1 with the whole "annabelle' crap- Kuea snaps out of his puppy love and gains self agency. He tells Lian to piss off and completely embraces being himself openly. -Spicy and more fun Kuea personality they promised in Ep.1 is his personality from then on. No baby kid Kuea personality besides showing his vulnerability and sweet side again later in the series when they have developed their relationship and Lian actually EARNs it. -Lian has to actually make an effort to get to know Kuea and earn his trust. Aka a semi hate to love storyline. IMAGINE the spice to the NC scenes if this was the story progression.
I was expecting something awful after reading this comment section, but after actually watching the first two eps- it's not THAT bad. People are being harsh af on this- especially when only two eps have been released. I thought people would give this a chance at least considering this drama has a rare cast of an actual gay man in a lead role. Considering some of the absolute garbage BLs that get released sometimes, this isn't that bad. It's not great so far, but it's ok. I'll keep watching!
I agree with you tbh but I'll play devil's advocate and say all these actors know what they're signing up for.…
Yep I agree with what you're saying! I didn't meant that he was forced or didn't choose to take on this project willingly. Eg. he seems to enjoy the fanservice parts tbh lol. I mean more that I know he has more to offer, but like plenty of good actors they end up in a lot of roles with crappy plots, etc. So I really hope he does choose some better projects in future!
I also think he's pretty well aware that cutie pie would be successful regardless of it's crap plot because it does have so much fanservice/NC scenes in it. So I can see why he'd take on the project either way. So yeah I completely agree that his choices are his to make! (I can't comment on the contract part bc I have no idea how these are in Thailand!)
Man Zee deserves better than this shitty plot. It's such a shame bc both leads are decent enough actors and are beautiful. Plus they commit too and are comfortable and believable in their NC scenes. But I don't feel any butterflies at all with these two since Kuea acts so childish that it throws off the whole vibe imo. The filters in this also make them look like over-smoothed dolls and I HATE it sooo much. What's wrong with showing their normal skin? Honestly the stupid Annabelle line applies to all of them here bc the filter is so OTT.
Oh how I wish Bank x Bonus were the main couple in this. Still hoping for them to have their own series one day. I'm not that invested in the main couple so far tbh, but they're fine. My biggest pet peeve with this series is the over top smoothing filters. Same as with the filters in Cutie Pie- there is nothing wrong with actors having real skin, why do they need to be made to look like dolls on screen? SMH
The story was sooo stupid this ep wholly crap. But that NC scene, that is all I'm here for at this point and it was delightful. I'm 100% here for any future Chap x Green projects with hopefully better scripts!
I feel so conflicted about this one so far. Like the production, acting, char visuals etc. are great. But the storyline is so lacking. I'm seeing a lot of comments being confused about Hia Lian's motivations etc. But it literally boils down to that he was such a jerk in the beginning saying he didn't love Kuea (when he did) bc he wanted to encourage Kuea to just be himself bc that's who he loves- not play the "good boy". The confusion comes bc he was so cruel in that rejection scene, but now has done a 180 and is all lovey dovey. It's the classic BL problem of trivial, stupid miscommunication. He could have literally just been reassuring and honestly told Kuea I love you for who you are, stop acting. Kuea would be happy, but that would be the end of the story in ep.1. Hence all the stupid, drawn out scenes after that. Hia had no reason to be so cruel in the beginning, and then he's shocked that Kuea no longer trusts him? Bruh,
Even then it could have had potential if Kuea pushed back more against Hia Lian and was more fiery , but he isn't. I hate how they set him up in the beginning like he was going to be more edgy and fierce. But then literally after his setup scenes larping him as a more independent char who likes motorcycles and drums, etc. they revert him to being annoyingly childlike clutching his plush toys and acting like a 14 yr old girl. That becomes boring real quick IMO. I was loving this but now the episodes are becoming more boring each week.
Not sure why people think the acting is terrible etc. etc. either. I've seen much worse in more popular BLs that no one seems to bat an eyelid at bc fluffy BLs seem to just get more of a pass in that area.
