Honest review, no hate intended

I read the book before watching the series, and to be honest, I think the series could’ve been done better. It felt too short and a bit rushed. No offense at all, the actors, actresses, and crew did an amazing job, and I really appreciate their hard work. But some scenes felt too long while others didn’t quite make sense. The overexaggerated injury scenes especially came off a little cringe.

That said, I loved episode 9, the part where Rin cried and begged her father to find Khem? That scene was top tier acting. I really felt her emotions. I had high hopes that the final episode would hit just as hard, but sadly, it didn’t meet my expectations. It felt emotionally flat.

It also seemed like they focused more on love scenes to attract viewers rather than digging deeper into the actual storyline. Don’t get me wrong, the chemistry was great. But for me, I didn’t come just for that. I felt more connected to the book than the series.

Again, no hate at all. I know how much effort the whole team put into this. I just wish the series captured the depth and intensity of the book more closely.

If you haven’t read the book yet, please do. It’s truly worth it.
