Person Liu Jun
I saw a video of him circulating online wherein a Nigerian auntie was talking and complimenting him at the airport…
but based on the fancams posted by his fans, even after he got more popular in RTS, he rarely smiles and seems uncomfortable being recorded. He mostly smiles only when it's for work. Outside of that, he is a bit distant

Okay... I dropped it again for the third time. I just can't get past the female lead's voice. No hate to her personally—it's…
All Chinese dramas use dub to ensure the audio sounds clear. FL (Esther yu), always dubs with her own voice, she even holds a professional dubbing certificate.

Her mature voice in Road to Success and her cute voice in Love Between Fairy and Devil prove she has a versatile vocal range.
Besides, the cute voice perfectly fits her character as Orchid, an innocent and sweet little fairy. If you watch anime or cartoons about fairies, you will definitely notice the voice actors for innocent and sweet characters always use a similarly cute tone. Therefore, Esther's voice in Love Between Fairy and Devil can be considered a cartoonish voice.

fyi, during the year they filmed and released it, animated series like anime and donghua were popular. And sure enough, when Love Between Fairy and Devil release, it successfully attracted fans of animated series

Do you really expect an innocent and sweet character to have a sexy voice like a cunning fox? Or a deep voice like a female general? What a weird statement. If you want to drop it, just drop it. Why bother to announce it? Need attention?

Finished 32 episodes. Such a great drama and full of life lessons!

Usually, after finishing a drama, I would just say "finally done" while reviewing alone about the lessons from the show. But when episode 32 ended, I unconsciously said "What? It's over? So fast!" Even when trying to review the lessons, there were simply too many to process alone. I feel like I need to rewatch it with the cast to reminisce about the healing comfort I felt while watching it.

Honestly, I wish I could have watched this drama in high school, a time when I had high spirits but felt confused about what to do. If I had watched this drama back then, it would become a memorable lifelong memory to encourage me whenever I think about it.

But well, even if I watched it in high school, my mind wasn't mature enough back then. I'm sure I would only focus on the handsome actors and feel a bit jealous of Esther Yu for getting act alongside them (this is exactly what Esther's jealous haters feel) 😂

So, I do not regret watching it now with a more mature mindset. Growing older helps me understand the adult characters of Lin Wangxin and Wangfa, who might seem passive when dealing with the boys of the Hongjin High School team.
They wanted to give the members enough space to voice their opinions and let out their emotions, especially in a team of 11 boys. Teenage boys tend to be hot-blooded and a bit egoist. If those two interfered too much, it could make the boys feel restricted or judged, which might end badly for the team.

In my own youth, I also sometimes felt uncomfortable when parents or adults interfered too much, it makes you feel restricted and judged, which ends up making you feel lost and unsure of how to live your life.

Because of that, watching rts felt like remembering my past self and giving me a comfortable, healing feeling. I think this has become my comfort drama. I will rewatching it often whenever I feel down so I can cheer myself up again

Suspension of belief is too much for me to enjoy this drama. Why is a teacher responsible for the cost of the…
It's just a drama, why so serious lol. Just enjoy it. Does a drama really have to explain in detail the total expenses or income of a teacher's life?? If that's the case, you should just watch a vlog about the reality of a teacher's life, why even watch a drama? Dramas only focus on the plot that builds the story. When watching a drama, it's better to empty your mind so you can enjoy it and forget about the exhausting real life :)

If mdl users say a cdrama is "too slow" it means I need to put it on my watchlist bc the cdrama community…
Yes! As a kdrama fan who's used to slowburn plots, I really love it! And honestly, I feel like it's not like most modern cdramas where the storyline is just too unrealistic. To me, it gives off major kdrama vibes, but it still has those signature cdrama elements like the colorful fashion and packed with product placements 🤣 I guess Xinxin chose this project because she wants her dramas to reach kdrama audiences

Is one of the students a Xinxin fanboy? It's cute because every time he's on screen, he's always stealing glances at Xinxin and looks like he can't hold a smile when he's around her. I forgot his name though. He's the one with smaller eyes (well, maybe I'm just imagining it XD)

do people get paid to comment hate comments ? I just don't understand how this drama has low ratings and how some…
Fr, never trust mdl review and comment. It's my 1636th time seeing mdl users are direct hating on a female character. Either they’re half watching or just refuse to see things from a different perspective. Like, if you actually think about it, it makes sense why things happened that way. They hate it when the plot gets realistic, and they still hate it when it's full of drama. Gosh, it’s just a drama. Mdl discussion so toxic and boring now

Title Still Shining Spoiler
I think it should 8, but well not many people like this kind of story...
So before I watch the ending, I read some comments saying it had a bad ending because the FL and ML didn't end up together. But after I finished watching it, I questioned: did we watch with the same subtitles?

Some people even said their relationship was just a one-sided love. Tbh, I don't see it that way at all. Both Euna and Taeseo definitely liked each other right until the ending.

It's just that they both have egos and TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. It's pretty obvious when they were younger and Euna chose to focus on her career. Then, as adults, Taeseo kept misunderstanding things and assumed Euna still had feelings for her ex, mostly because of his jealous guy ego. He didn't even consider the possibility that everything Euna doing had memory with her dad, especially since she was all alone without her parents.

If people think the ML's situation was sadder, I think the FL had it same. She had to take care of her comatose dad completely alone in young age, without a mom or any family, all she could hope for was his recovery. When her dad finally got better, she wanted to try chasing her dreams, but their lack communication make them break up. And sadly, her dad passed away. And for those few years, she lived entirely alone without any family. If I was her, I definitely would have leaned on the SML to survive too, considering he was the only guy by her side at the time. But even so, her feelings for Taeseo stayed strong until the very end.

I think the reason this drama is called Still Shining is because the writer wanted to show that "no matter how old you get, your first love will always keep shining."

And honestly, I'd say it’s an open ending. At the ending, Taeseo basically proposed to Euna by saying, "If you ever need someone to be with in the future, you can call me."

Overall, I'd rate this drama an 8/10.

I'm watching an edit on XHS and reading the comments, and I don't know why, maybe because the music is sad, so…
Aah I’m not Esther, but I really touched by your comment. I’m also fan who happened to like her after watching reality show Let’s Go Skiing (actually I watched it because Lin Yi hehe)

From what I’ve seen, Esther isn’t the type who shows her sadness openly. Even though people say she’s a bad actress (can’t act, selfish, or anything), I actually think she’s one of the most professional artists. She doesn’t want to show her private life, including her sadness. She only wants to show her skills and how hard she works—people know she comes from a wealthy family because they di it themselves.

And sometimes, when I see her smile, I can see a hint of sadness in her eyes. I’m sure in the back, she feels sad quite often too. But she still chooses to show that she’s strong and hardworking.
And you know what? Her hobby of fishing shows that she’s actually a calm person.

I believe that even when she feels sad, she can stay calm. She doesn’t want to show or “sell” her sadness, and instead she chooses to keep moving forward.

That’s why I think she’s such a cool and professional artist. Like Heyu said in Thai Sweet, Esther may look girly, but she can actually be a knight.

That’s why haters feel jealous. Most people don’t like seeing someone who always seems okay. They want others to look miserable so they can feel their own lives are better. Especially nowadays, when the economy is unstable😒

Well, I hope those haters realize that there’s no point in disliking or hating someone. It’s better to focus on improving ourselves so life can be more comfortable.
