Yeah I know. Like I said, they did the same thing in Pit Babe to push ships (and we see how the plot/development of each pair has suffered as a result of them trying to focus on a million different ships, with fans of all the pairs complaining about their respective ship not getting enough screen time). My point is I don't agree with making drastic changes for the sole purpose of pushing ships. If they wanted MichaelTopTen, I don't get why they didn't just go for SayBlue, seeing as they're already the canon couple in the story. And like I said, they end up getting their own book, so if down the line Change wanted to and had the means to give MichaelTopTen a series, then there ya go.

Yeah. Like I said, I'm not really a fan either, but the amount of backlash intrigues me, and now I'm paying a lot more attention to this show then I would've. I don't undertand why people who hate it so much come back to comment 50+ times a day lol. I'm usually a "to each their own" type of person and simply scroll past omegaverse stuff but I guess that's not everyone lol. It's strange.

I don't even like omegaverse (Pit Babe was the most I could handle), but if it makes the terfs mad, I will absolutely be tuning in to this series.

Wow really? I read the original Thai version and she's definitely a woman lol. And yeah while I understand not having enough budget, I wish they could've just kept her a woman. I loved her character sm and it's always nice to see well written women that aren't just there to break up the main ship 🥹

What irritates me the most is that they made Darin a guy (played by TopTen). She is a woman in the original book. Her and Say (played by Michael) never get together. They're only friends, but it seems like they will be a thing in the series. The whole universe is comprised of 4 individual stories, with Singsalatai being Thup and Singha's (PoohPavel) story. Say gets a boyfriend in the story and Darin gets a girlfriend. Say and his boyfriend have their own book just as Darin and her girlfriend have their own book. Michael and Top Ten could've gotten their own series out of this but now it won't make sense (and we also could've gotten a seperate GL out of it but welp). They also made King Singha's ex but they were never officially dating.

Also this is no hate to TopTen at all. I think he can pull her personality off really well. I'm sure he'll do her justice. My beef is only with Change. I just hate how often Change refuses to follow the source material and instead squeeze their ships into places they don't fit rather than finding a more suitable story for the actors (they did the same with Pit Babe and The Most Beautiful Count, which many Thais have already said they will be boycotting for the reason I listed).

I really hope Change does this story justice because it's one of my favorite BL novels. They've already made some changes that I think disrupt the story a bit but I'm hoping they will at the very least keep the heart of the story 🙏

Edit: Which I must add, the novel is sooooo good! If you like horror and crime, you will like it for sure.

I started Reset and I like it so far! I tried The Next Prince but ultimately dropped it. I forgot I'm watching Pit Babe as well but it's a let down tbh. I heard the books are much better. Many of the series that look interesting are the upcoming ones, like Goddess Bless You From Death. For now ig I'll just watch Reset and read Thai BL novels I think. I just bought a bunch so hopefully that'll fill in a bit of the hole in my heart 😭

Edit: Lowkey my hopes for Goddess Bless You From Death are kinda low atp though. Change has a habit of changing all the vital parts of the story. They already changed so many important parts of Pit Babe season 1 as well as some storylines in GBYFD 🫠 May they not make any more unnecessary changes 🤞 Ok sorry, rant over

The pilot teaser that's out right now is basically the plot of the Tiger. They skipped the first book. Basically it follows the events of the first book after the eldest daughter and leader of the Dragon gang, Fei Long, gives up her position and puts the second sister, Fei Tian (Mookda's character), in charge. However, some other gangs don't support Fei Tian being in power and a bunch of stuff goes down. Zhou Zhu Ting (Frame's character) is the adopted daughter of the leader of one of the other gangs. Just like the first book, this is an arranged marriage story as well.

Tbh idk the plot of The Swan since I'm still reading The Tiger and I don't want to spoil myself, sorry 🙏

You can read them on Meb but they haven't been translated yet. Salmon said the translation will come out in January. I'm not sure if that's just for the first book or all of them, though.

I didn't realize a lot of people weren't enjoying this series! But that's valid. Personally, I'm really liking this show. Is it my favorite GL on air? No. But it's still a really cute, simple show nonetheless. A small break from the heartbreaking moments of the other shows currently on air (iykyk🥲). I especially enjoyed episode 2.
