Are haters seriously mass down voting this? this happened to another series I like. Every time a series gets praise for being one of the best rated series, the rating goes down shortly after. Very weird.

If you look at it on a deeper level, it becomes clear that it was meant to show the juxtoposition of the two pairs. On one hand we have Claire and Bell having fun. The lighting is warm. You see them smiling and pleasing each other. I think the ✂️showcased this point very well, that they are equals both physically and figuratively. On the flip side, there's Dao and Wichai. The lighting is dark and cold. Wichai is very aggressive and essentially manhandling Dao. He's also positioned over her, which I think can also allude to the fact that he is above her as the prison warden (or whatever he is). It seems to be more that he's letting off steam and trying to please himself. It's jarring and that's the point. While I have no interest in hetero NC scenes, especially NC scenes with such a crazy power dynamic like this (it was quite a jumpscare), I can still appreciate what they've done here and say it works well for the story.

That's not the case here. She already addressed this. Last year when the pilot came out, she made some constructive criticism on it. Nothing mean, just pointing out some things that could change and praising what she liked. PoohPavel even responded to it. But she didn't really get a chance to talk to the company about much. She's been finding things out just as we are, hence why she used to hype it up when it was still in development and doesn't much anymore. She already stated that she knew it wouldn't be 100% like the book. No one expects adaptations to follow the source material perfectly. The reason Change keeps getting in hot water over this same issue is the *way* they change things and the *amount* they change things. This was also a big issue with Pit Babe and The Most Beautiful Count. The Pit Babe author even broke down in tears in a twitter space when S2 aired because of a very serious change they made. Honestly the Pit Babe books are completely different from the series. They changed so much about that story, so many plot points, so many characters that I simply can't explain without an essay. And we all know how the Most Beautiful Count mess went and how it went viral on Thai twitter for all the wrong reasons (they started a boycott hashtag and everything). These authors don't always have as much input as people think. Often times, they sign the rights away and that's that. You may have some cases where they're involved a bit in someway, like how the Pit Babe author helped with the casting. But like I said, this keeps happening because there's no input at all and Change uses these stories more like rough prompts rather than adapting them. Their reputation is getting worse and people are starting to say that no one should sell the rights to their work to them.

Who is 90%? 90% of the people left after y'all bullied people and pushed them away for their opinions? 90% of the comments that you can understand? I don't understand why some people, especially ship interfans, are so nonchalant about companies buying rights to companies only to completely change a bunch of stuff and disregard the source material. What's the point of adapting the series atp? Did you even read the author's post at all? Many people HAVE stepped back from the show because of people like you jumping down throats because we don't share the same opinion, only for people to complain that she wasn't talking about the show enough. But don't worry, Britney. People are listening to the likes of you and are beginning to withdraw support because of the script and hostile fans. Please, continue! Let Change create an even worse reputation for themselves in the eyes of the Thai public than they already have from the mess that was Pit Babe and Most Beautiful Count👍

Edit: And it's not that I think the show is bad. I definitely think the novel is better but I don't hate the show. But by ruined I mean took the soul out of it. Like it doesn't feel like สิงสาลาตาย

Yes unfortunately. Goddess Bless You From Death is only the first part of 4 total series. Darin in the book is a woman and she eventually gets a girlfriend. Their story is part 3 in the universe, and the book starts airing next month. Sey does have a boyfriend eventually, but it is not Darin (since she is a woman). It's a totally different person. Their story is part 4. We could've gotten 2 other BLs out of this AND a GL but welp

Yes exactly! And I bought the กุศโลตาย books for Mek and Chan. I've only read a little bit but I wanna finish them soon because the story for Darin and her girlfriend starts in December 🥳 So excited. It's a bummer.

It's so sad that the author had to come out and make a statement as to why she wasn't hyping this series up as much as before after people started bashing her. I read this book as soon as Change announced it would be PoohPavel's next series because I love them as a pair. But I fell in love with the book and really hoped Change would do it justice because it's my favorite BL novel. But...the company is called Change after all....I honestly hope Change stops adapting novels and just starts giving the artists original stories. I mean, they change so many plot points from the source material that it might as well be original. They ruined Pit Babe. They ruined I'm the Most Beautiful Count, and they've ruined GBYFD. Changing the entire storyline of Darin and Sey is so crazy. They made Darin a guy! I can't stress this enough. The blatant misogyny to erase that just for a ship?? And they could've HAD MTT be a ship in the story as Sey and his boyfriend. And LMSY could've played as Darin and her girlfriend.. And they completely nerfed Mek and made him so uncool (this is not an attack on Lee, just the writing). Much of the horror and investigative aspects are lost as well. Such a shame. And I want to say that I do not hate the actors at all. I still believe that Pooh and Pavel are the perfect Thup and Singha. But I think this post sums up a lot of my issue well:

Honestly I'd encourage you to read the book as well because it's lowkey better and scarier than the series (no hate to the show or actors). But if you insist....I read this book like a year and a half ago back when they first announced it so I don't remember every little detail. Basically Thup continues to help Singha during his investigation using his ghost seeing ability and they get closer. King and Singha have some history (they were never together iirc, but they had something going on). But obviously Singha hates him now. Anyways, in the end, the serial killers end up being a monk and his son, sacrificing people to live longer or something (can't remember the reason). But plot twist: the monk is Thup's birth father! And Thup had no idea obviously as he never knew his parents. And one of the ghosts that had followed Thup throughout his life turned out to be the ghost of his mom, who his birth father murdered. Also at one point, the whole gang ended up becoming new targets in the ritual.

Based on the original Studio Wabi Sabi pilot trailer, I was expecting Haunting of Bly Manor, Khemjira, Goddess Bless You From Death, etc. level dark. I'm a big fan of horror, monsters, scary stuff, that sort of thing. Gay horror? Sign me up. This also would have been my first BounPrem series. Definitely disappointed after seeing the trailer ngl. It feels more juvenile, less serious. As soon as I heard everything moved to GMMTV, I had a bad feeling..😔 I think I'll give it a shot but I'm just a lil bummed. I hope it'll be better than the trailer 🤞

Next is Darin and her girlfriend's story which is called พิลาสฆาตตาย. This one hasn't come out yet, but the author said it comes this year.

Say's story is last, which is called ครรลองคลองตาย. This hasn't come out yet either.

Gotta say I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this series! I've never really liked omegaverse tbh and I didn't think I'd get into another omegaverse story after Pit Babe but here I am. Finished episode 4 in shock like "That's it?!" Now waiting for Saturdays is such a painnnnnn.

I've tried to get into this show a few times but atp I give up. The budget is definitely budgeting, the series looks nice and polished, and I applaud them for that. The actors are doing well so I have no complaints there. But the writing! It just feels so hollow. This is an issue I've noticed in every Domundi series I've tried to watch, but I think it's extra noticeable here because this series happens to have a large budget. What a shame.
