started this a few days ago, and its actually pretty good! up to ep 5 now, and its a bit better than yunxi in terms of acting imo but its nice to see most of the cast back. and glad to see liu yi chang in a bigger role this time too!

yes, i agree with you! most of the time in dramaland it feels like that, just part of the plot to create tension or misunderstandings and feels extremely random/forced.

for the most part, su ci as a FL was pretty consistent and rational throughout the show, so to me it was clear that she was triggered and acted out of character for a moment due to intense trauma (the eavesdropping scene, with her emotions getting riled up) even leading up to her confrontation with pz in the room. it was probably the only time she really slipped up like that, so i didn't mind it that much. thanks for your input btw!

tbh i don't mind su ci's slip up in ep 22 (altho a lil frustrating, yeah) because people can be irrational sometimes when it comes to their traumas. everyone was for the most part consistent, the pacing was good thruout and i really think this was a refreshing watch this year that does deserve its current rating! i hope chen yao + zlh can work together again one day bc they were realllly cute tgt & i miss their chemistry lol ( *ˊᵕˋ)
