LOL what can be worse that being drugged by your husband after being framed for adultery, being dragged into a…
I'm a little confuse about your comment since no one is is arguing about the fact that XFF suffered.... beside if you ACTUALLY watch the show ... you will see that XFF actually care A LOT about her reputation. All I was saying is Wan Ning suffer immensely when she was a hostage.... as much if not more than XFF... this is what we call EMPATHY.
Another episode that gives me a lot of mixed feelings... I can't help but feel sorry for Wan Ning after seeing what she's been through... arguably worse than what happened to XFF. She was raped, beaten, humilated repeatedly...That scene in the lake made me very uncomfortable...We can all agree that the stuff she does afterwards were evil...but it's coherent with what she's been through.... I remember a specific line from another movie where the antagonist told the protagonist the following... " You're really just one bad day away from being me" Wan Ning story is so tragic...special praise to the actress...awesome job portraying the character struggle, sadness and sorrow... I will seriously miss this serie when it will be over
XFF considered SYR as family while he never did that's why she was the first one he abandoned. For him his life…
I don't disagree with the fact that what he did was disgusting.... but throughout the serie so far... it's pretty clear that he doesn't really care about his own life...I lost count of how many time he litterally begged Wanning to kill him.... I really think what pushed him over the edge and did what he did to his wife was his family (his mother and sister)...was that a good reason to do what he did? of course not... but to be fair... whatever his decision was.... It would have been a bad one
These 2 episodes were amazing indeed! They really gave me mixed feelings. I do think SYR and Wanning are 2 pos of human being... but that scene where Wanning said "this is the first time you're giving me a gift" really got me aching for her a little bit. Also what SYR did to his wife was inexcusable...but to be honest I was expecting her of all people to somewhat understand his situation since she also did everything to save her family... she just happened to be lucky and have a lot of powerful people helping her...SYR on the other hand was stuck by himself...and he is nowhere near as smart as his wife. Not trying to make excuse for SYR... but let just say i wouldn't want to be in his shoe...
I have watch all iterations of the Heavenly sword and dragon Saber. This one in general was very good. The story didnt stray too much from the books in general. The casting was also overall decent.... Yuqi Chen is by far the best Zhao Ming I've ever seen.... I never thought someone could play this role better than Kitty Lai from the 80's HK serie...so I was very pleasingly surprise halfway through serie... Yuqi Chen nailed it... she portrayed the wiity, smart and daring Zhao Ming flawlessly. The action scene was ok... It didn't have the raw impact from the old 80's hk serie though. The main character in this serie seems a little closer to the book version... more undecisive, lenient... bordeline weak minded. Overall a very enjoyable serie... still my least favorite from the trilogy though... probably because of the wishy washy attitude of the main character.
I really really love her in Stand by Me, definitely a stand-out performance, she is sinister and scary, but mysterious…
I decided to watch Stand by me because of Zhang Yuxi... but after watching the entire serie...Xuan Lu stole the show... her performance was hauntingly beautiful...Love how she portrayed the character's struggle between vengeance and conscience. She was BY FAR the highlight of that serie.
This is how you make a strong female character. Character development for this drama is insanely good
