Xianxia Romance Drama

I'm honestly an obsessed person when it comes to Xianxia dramas. This drama is what I would die for just to watch it again. At first, I was kind of hesitant to start watching dramas again since I get stuck into my own world. ALSO, I was scared that I would drop this since I was not familiar with the actress work. HOWEVER, this drama is just so cute and the plot just keeps flowing. There wasn't even one episode that I have skipped. The actors and actress played the characters so well that I'm happy I got the courage to watch it. The chemistry between the main leads is SO FREAKING CUTE! Every episode, I'm just constantly smiling and blushing whenever they are together. I am kind of upset though because I don't really see this drama trending much in the media or I guess I'm just not getting this drama on my feed. So to everyone who is reading this, you should DEFINITELY go watch it! IT WILL BE WORTH YOUR TIME!!!

Not a Typical Zombie K-Drama show

I really like zombie shows, especially when it comes to kdrama. If you came here to watch something similar to Kingdom, Train to Busan, All of us are Dead; basically every typical kdrama zombie shows, then this may not be for you. Newtopia/Influenza falls more into comedy and a bit of old school romance so it doesn't talk about how the zombies were created but more about the characters surviving.

The first three eps were not giving much but it was allowing us to get to know the characters and what's their situation. So I do understand that if you have start, you will be bored. However, if you continue, you will start seeing some actions and more funny stuff. Ngl, the comedy in this show wasn't as funny, it's more "if you get, you it" type of stuff. I only continue to watch this because I really liked how the characters were played. Honestly, that was the ONLY thing holding me to finish the drama. The plot though....it's unexplainable. I feel like I wanted more from the plot and to know more about how the zombies started.....but again, this is not a typical zombie show. If you are interested in getting to know the characters or how to survive a zombie apocalypse, this could be for you.

I'm also a fan of Jisoo so you might think my rating does not count. I just like her acting in Snowdrop, however, that drama is more political. I'm excited for her other drama!!

Time Travel Through Letters

I just finished this drama...
My Little Summary:
A story of a couple stuck in a twisted fate, leading them unable to be together. Thirty-five years later, their children started looking for them as they went missing on the same day. The only clues they received was a letter and a mail box. Where did the letter come from? Will they ever find their parents? Does their parents know each other?

Spoilers + What I think:
The drama goes back and forth from the present to the past. It starts off in the present where you will met Nian and her father who is ill with dementia. They were caught in an argument since her dad didn't want to leave his home. The next day he goes missing. She was only able to find a couple of clues which was the mail box that her father always guard with his life and was waiting for a letter. She stared at the mail box until a cat arrived and a letter appeared. In shock, she used this letter as a clue to find her dad. She goes find a woman, Tang and bumped into Tang's son. Her son came back to take her with him, but she was missing. So they had to work together to find their parents.

In 1991, Tang (FL) is dealing with some thuds because her father borrowed money to help his family but instead he was gambling it away. In the group of thuds, she meets Xun (ML) who becomes her classmate the next day. She receives a love letter written from Xun which caused troubled at her school as some kid dugged in her backpack for her notes. This lead a untold truth of her father's behavior entering the screen and a turning point in Tang's and Xun's relationship.

Shen Cheng and Yu Nian:
I honesty hated Shen Cheng. The way he assumed that Nian's father kidnapped his mom and was not even listening to her words! He irritated me soo much in the drama that I wonder why Nian tried to convinced him when he doesn't believe her. If I was in her shoes I would had left him at that cause she already told him that letter was the only reason why she was there in the first place. And omg.... he was so annoying when she took him to her father's place and didn't believe any words again! I understand that he is right that she could have fabricated everything, but from her tone and body language got me so stressed out for her. Also, he still didn't believe her after receiving a letter in the mail box that no one touched! And his constant reminder that she is still a stranger to him is crazy!! Like boy it's been 4 to 5 ep since yall knew each other. But every time he was on the screen, I keep wondering what is he thinking now. Until the end...he sacrificed his existent so his mom can be with the one that she loved.... It made me cried so hard. Yu Nian had it worst. She was in between everything even thought she wasn't blood related to her adopted father, she had to find out about his past and when she finally got to see him. He passed singing Tang's song.... She also remembered everything...

Tang and Xun:
These two were fated to be apart from the start Her horrible fate of an abusive father and a dream of getting out of Meixan. His fate of being a thud was the only thing that held him back from being with her. However, they constantly fought with fate and kept on trying to prove they were meant to be together. While Tang was being abused by her father, I realized how cruel it must be back then. The part where Tang said, "Father is disciplining his daughter." made me so upset that there was no adult for them to talk to. They had to rely on each other only since no one will listen and help them. They honestly had a very sad story.

Storyline + Overall:
How they executed the drama from the beginning was pretty interesting and constant which some can find boring. But I felt that they threw in an unexpected episode to gain the audiences' attention which definitely worked for me cause it was the episode that I cried the most on. Overall, this drama gave me so much emotional turns left to right and the songs are so good. I am always listening to it. This drama deserve an award for how everything was pretty planned out since for me some chinese drama don't know what they want at the end. This ending was a happy bittersweet ending for some characters. Oh, one thing cdrama needs to stop doing is NOT SHOWING US THE CHARACTERS HAVING THEIR HAPPY ENDING. I was pretty upset that I wasn't able to see them happily together.
