I'm not an inherently violent person but reading the novel I honestly wish truck-kun would get rid of Jiang Ying. I'm so tired of her and I just don't think I can watch the events I'm reading about without crying for DJX and his circumstances.

I just tried to organize it and I ended up with this long paragraph but i was more confused at the end. 14-15/18-19, 16-17/21-22, and 18-19/24-25. Thats my best bet. I vaguely remember them saying there's a 4 year age gap but mdl is saying something different so I might just be remembering wrong. But I used this to get a better understanding https://www.scholaro.com/db/countries/china/education-system
"Then he goes to the front of his television. He takes his photo with Sang Zhi then goes back to the bedroom. He places it on the bedside cabinet. Duan Jia Xu looks at it for several seconds. No matter how he look at it, she is still a kid. What is he thinking about. Maybe it's because he has been single for a long time.Duan Jia Xu sighs and says three words like his reminder. 'Xiao Peng You (little friend)'".
This is a tiny excerpt from the novel. It takes place after the altercation with Jiang Ying in the restaurant. When he started developing feelings, he fought them because they were such a foreign concept to him. They literally throw it in your face in the show and the novel, DJX saw SZ as a younger sibling for a long time. Nothing more than that.
Anyone else noticing that the timeline doesn't work? She is supposed to be 17 when they meet for the second time.…
In the novel, the ages are slightly different but a more accurate way to think of it might be 13-14 for the child actress, 16-17 when they are reintroduced. Then the time apart could be 1-2 years, making her about 18 when she goes off to university. I'm not really familiar with the Chinese school system so it might be slightly inaccurate but it's just a rough estimate.
I died on my first try, the kidnappers killed me. On my second try, a panther killed me. Then on my third try, i escaped to city and I really thought I was free, but then fell, bumped my head, and bled to death. On my fourth try, they called me stubborn and let me live. But I didn't feel satisfied so went once more and managed to make friends with the panther became a friend of nature.
I don't care what any bootlicking reviewer says on here, DJX never saw SZ as anything other than a little sister. You people need to practice your independent and critical thinking skills instead regurgitating the same half-baked lie on this page.
it's wonderful! i have seen it. and so romantic!i also recommend yesterday once more
I watched it a couple days ago, it provoked such strong emotions of hatred/love for different characters. Honestly just want to give props to all the creatives involved.
Reading the novel and I just realized the glass jar she placed the paper stars with wishes in is the one from the milk he got her in an earlier episode. Maybe other people noticed but I didn't because where I'm from, when they give single serving milk its usually in a milk carton. Anyways, this was just one of the many cute things I noticed while reading the novel.
I got the amazing idea from an earlier commenter to read the novel in order to curb my addiction. It's a really good read so far because of the added meaning to different scenes. I haven'd read any novels in a while because my favorite one stopped updating and I refuse to pay for webnovel.
I don’t know who it was but whichever commenter said his lips were attractive, I’m officially blaming you bc I wouldn’t have started paying attention to them if it weren’t for you. It’s all your fault, take responsibility🙄🙄
I get it I totally do because some of my favorites were much longer than my current cut-off but I'm honestly too fragile. Like Princess Weiyong, I watched it may of 2020. I remember crying for about a week after despite me understanding exactly why it had to end that way. I just get too emotional and I don't like crying.

They're... what.. 4 years apart? That's literally nothing. She's 19, not 14. I did see the controversy over someone…
I totally agree, and I'd also like to point out how this is different from grooming irl. It's not like he was consistently around her while growing up, and he never targeted her romantically either. He treated her no differently than her own brother did. He also pointed out that "the guy graduating from college" who she was dating online would be weird for liking her when he's 21 and she's 16. Meaning no one his age, should be seeing a high schooler in a romantic light. Age gaps and grooming has always been about power dynamics, differences in maturity, and the legality of it all. Even when they do meet again once she's in college he does still see her as a little sister. I haven't gotten to when he gains feelings but other commenters have pointed out that it took him awhile to see her as anything else. So anyone who claims the age gap as an issue is lacking some serious critical thinking skills.
It's exactly that. The girl had a crush on the guy and felt important/helpful to him through her friendship with…
The on with the glasses right, I'm really hoping it doesn't go in that direction. Then again, it seemed like this is something the high school friend was doing since they were 14 maybe younger bc we saw that in the first episode. I'm hoping that there's more maturity to be had with this new friend.
I’ve definitely watched a couple on this list, but I don’t have the attention span nor the emotional stability for super long c-dramas anymore. My first experience with them was princess Wei young and my last one was probably the untamed. The super long ones always give me whiplash and make me cry so I tend to stay away from them. I like them short and sweet 24-30 episodes max is all I can handle
oh my gosh, I just finished when I fly towards you, that’s why I started hidden love. I’m trying to get back into c-dramas bc it’s been awhile and I’m using them to destress
