The writer took the inspiration to write the story about snowdrop after reading a notes from a north korean defector back in 2008. she's been working in this story for more than 12 years although the characters and the events are fictional, the writer also included some of her experiences in real life being a college student living in a dorm during 1980's in korea.

here we go again with the speculations. They did not officially announced it will be 20 eps, it was just a rumor same with the plot. And i dont think they change the entire plot and reshoot everything just because of the controversy cause the production is very confident with the plot and the actors as well. they just changed jisoos name.
