Her desk was indeed facing the same cement wall, only there was a big hole in it so she was able to see outside and that's how she sees those shadows. Later, we see Young Seok mending it for her (the scene where he sees her looking at him through the window and smiles back at her). And after they're broken up we see the wall and the part where the hole was fixed is a lighter grey colour.
