This show was an utter disaster on so many levels. The female lead has to be one of the worst I have seen in a long time. Her character was just so unlikable and stupid and the actress did a lousy job. There was no way I was routing for her. The male lead character was such a pushover and wimp. The script writer needs a new profession. The side characters were ok, nothing to deep or interesting about any of them. The mother-in-law was the typical K-drama evil character. I barely made it thru, thank goodness it was only 12 episodes. I would not reccomend this show to anyone, even if you are a Kang Ki Young fan.

I waited for it to get better but it never did. If you like him, watch Blood of Youth. It is much better in my humble opinion.

Such a mediocre show. Everything has been seen and done before. The FL character is one dimensional and boring. ML is a Ken doll, who wears more makeup than the FL. I get the target audience is teens/young adults and they need to keep pumping these shows out at a constant pace. Originality is hard to come by these days! Do not waste your time if you are thinking of watching.

Just finished episode 30 after skipping quite a few and I can see the show has not gotten any better. The lead female is such a nitwit, truly narcissistic female. Can not stand her and would applaud him for actually leaving her but...My other gripe: If I see one more closeup of a damn Gucci logo in this show I will explode. It is absolutely disgusting.

I have not started Story of Kunning Palace yet. It is one I have been waiting for with great anticipation!

I am liking Wonderland of Love, and did you mean Till the End of the Moon in reference to BaI Lu's other show? I watched that and loved it.

I watched the first episode of Wonderland of Love. My problem is I am a binge watcher...so when I get to the end of the episodes and have to wait it is just torture. I waited for Lost you Forever and spent a weekend. I am truly pathetic!!!

I was hoping for a Love is Sweet and got a big pile of nothing. This is just poor script writing and directing. Watch Love is Sweet, Love Between Fairy and Devil, Unforgettable Love...any of these will do the main leads justice. There is zero chemistry between any of the actors/characters. I like Dylan Wang and love Bai Lu and just feel bad they had to put their names on this one. It is just so boring. The only character I can somewhat like is Guan Ji, the stereotypical rich party/playboy. Somehow he almost comes off as genuine. Bi Rou Shan, Shu Yi's best friend is annoying as well. That is supposed to be an independant woman? Yuck. The niece is also just so annoying with her almost stalker behavior. Just sad that they had some great actors and they have come up with this.

Love your review on this one. I am also not a fan of Yang Zi but she did pull off this role quite well. I am also not a fan of Tushan Jing's character, at least as shown in the show, I think he was so weak. Did I miss something as I thought Cang Xuan was her cousin? I know everyone was calling him her brother but was that actually true? I hoped she would end up with anyone but Tushan Jing but as the ending of the novel has already been spoiled on here I am almost hesitant to watch the last season. Call me crazy... Once again thank you for your review!

I know and it is getting old. This show was great for the first 25 episodes and I get we have to have some drama but this is just gratuitous and boring. It is the same as so many other dramas with zero creativity. The " I am breaking up with you for your own good" trope is coming next. I will skip the last 8 episodes and go to the end. I will miss nothing in between.

Time to skip a few episodes, it is descending into normal c-drama land of too many episodes. Going from episode 27 to 39. Do not need to witness the abusive mother theme anymore. Seems they can not get away from that.

Total waste of time. No sympathy for any of the characters. Lead female character was way to stupid and annoying for my taste. I am also not a huge fan of Yang Zi as she always seems to portray the same type of character. Over the top and not that intelligent. By the end of the series I could care less what happened to her. Emperor was also a typical despot, promising everything and giving nothing. The actor did an ok job but the show was so poorly written and edited. I noticed the comments that the leads had chemistry. What chemistry? He just was constantly forcing her into a corner and she was so wishy washing and pathetic she could not take a stand. The Empress dowager was despicable and the empress was pathetic. Every relationship was based on lies and more lies. So much fun!

I tend to be pretty brutal in my reviews. Glad to know I am sometimes not alone!

The female impowerment aspect was nothing more than a bunch of catty women sitting around bashing their husbands and using their money. Female lead especially. She should have left, he gave her ample opportunities but she stuck around, complained all the time, used his money quite freely and basically gave nothing back. I understand her wanting to be first wife but she knew at the beginning she was not. The male lead I like in other dramas but this was not a good character. The only character I actually liked was the male leads first wife. She was an empowered and lovely female. The costumes were not well done, everything seemed cheap to me as well. I made the mistake of commenting on the feed of the show and boy, people really reacted to my negative assessment. The audience they are after must be about 16years old.

The whole female empowernment thing was ridiculous, just a bunch of catty women trash talking their husbands. I love female empowernment but that was not it. I misunderstood and thought you were refering to the first comment. I apologize. I still do think the female lead should leave though. She knew from the beginning she would be a concubine; even though he said he would eventually make her his first wife it was not going to be an immediate thing. She says she is not married unless she is the first wife? Would she be ok is someone else was a concubine? I do not think she treats the male lead very well at all, he is her husband. She uses him and his feelings and justifies her actions with...We are not married till I am your first wife: but let me use you and your money because we are married. Thats the problem I have with her character. I hope you enjoy the rest of the show. I have moved on to Evernight..an oldy but I am really enjoying it so far.

As I said in my previous post I did. I never told her to leave I simply asked a question. I would never make a sarcastic comment like that to anyone even if I disagreed with their opinion. I think people get so triggered if someone does not agree with them these days. Each and every person on this site is allowed to have their own opinion and voice their own opinion. Wether you agree with it or not.

This show is ADHD. It cannot decide what it wants to be. Every social problem being solved in one show. I cannot understand why people love it so much. I am bored to death with it. FL irritates me to no end. She has had numerous opportunities to leave but she does not; she stays and all she does is complain. ML I have appreciated in other dramas but not this one. The rest of the characters are completely forgettable. Perhaps the most annoying show I have seen in a long time.

I just finished this series and totally agree with your comments. At the end I felt a great dislike for Deok Im's character. Nothing she did made sense. So many people applauded her for being smart and feisty but I did not get that. I just saw an arrogance and stubborness to the point of stupidity. Even in episdode 16 when she was being accused of adultery she kept silent to save her brother? What? If she was accused and convicted he would be too. Thats how it worked in those days. She was so cruel to San and frankly did not deserve his love or affection. She was the person who would rather wallow in her own self inflicted misery than make the best of a given situation. I would have rated the show a 5 or 6 for that reason if I had done a formal review. Everything else was pretty well done but I just could not like her at all.
