Of course, I understand that it’s not about friendship between the characters in the traditional sense of the word and that this is just an attempt to talk about love without talking about love. But I want to believe that this may be enough for the drama to be released without violating Chinese laws 🤷♀️🫠

The application doesn’t allow me to attach the link, but you can find on twitter the user @LingJing_MXTX who posted some information about the new Chinese edition. And there are also other changes that are not mentioned in those tweets, for example, in the scene of Hua Cheng's confession.

As far as I know, the author is now rewriting the novel to publish it in China. So there will be no romance between the main characters, and the story cannot be classified as bl(?). Does this mean that in this case the ban on the bl-dramas release will not be relevant?
