imagine if this releases like 50 years later and we have wrinkled grandpas doing fanservice...and wrinkled grandmas and grandpas in the audience screaming. 😭
This is surprisingly nice. The acting is nice, the characters have layers and are not only one dimensional, the plotline is not very complex and is easy to digest. A fresh watch.
I finished this drama 2 days ago and im trying so hard to find a drama like this but i cant find one somehow.…
Hmm... if you want smooth and sweet romance i'd recommend "My Little Happiness (2021)" but ML is a doctor and FL is a lawyer. If you want understanding and strong FL and communication between the leads i'd recommend "My Bargain Queen (2021)"
The story is so good so far. But there are a few moments when I will be so immersed in the story and suddenly there'll be a closeup shot emphasizing all the dry and patchy makeup and i'm like WOAH😭lmao but still love everything so far.
I thought the leads were so cute and came here to express how much i love it and all i see is a discourse about fl's age and fashion (?)..... i didn't even know the age of the leads and never once did i think about that let alone her fashion... It's a drama, they are actors...just enjoy the story. damn
I'm a shy anxious person so even if some people find Seung Hyun "childish" I find him fairly relatable.
He is very relatable for me as well. In fact, I have few friends who are at the similar age as SH's character and have very similar character. They are very genuine and kind. So I've never found SH's character as childish. I guess the perception really depends upon peoples experience and the culture.
What I prefer in rom coms is seeing couples hug, kiss on the cheek and loving gaze. Sex life can be implied but…
i agree. for me, showing small gestures here and there in day to day life shows more chemistry between the pair than compared to single big intimate scene. it makes the relationship very lived in rather than forced. Forced might not be the right word, maybe sort of mechanical...idk how to put it.
I prefer BLs without NC. I like when the show development of relationships instead. One reason I love Japanese…
Yes I also like when the drama shows development of relationships. I don't mind explicit scenes because i understand the production company need to attract audience but it becomes a problem when the drama loses focus on the story and the only "selling point" of the drama becomes those scenes..
I will never understand people's need to see some form of explicit scenes, intense kissing, or some form of a thirst trap to see the chemistry between the actors. But i guess that's the main selling point currently, seeing how most people being introduced to a new bl title is always through these types of scenes on tiktoks and instagram reels.
As a gay person myself, this drama feels very realistic and intimate. Even though it doesn't show physical intimacy, it still feels very...idk...real. Maybe it's because I relate to a lot of stuff in it, living in a culturally similar country. JC mentioning the dating pool being small is very true as well. You are always interconnected with other gay people in your area through one mutual or another. I call it the lgbt web lmao, cause you can always tell if someone is from the lgbt community based on the mutuals you have; even if their real friends themselves would have no idea about it lol.
And also skinship isn't always necessary to show that people are in love with each other, especially gay people in a conservative country. Maybe it's because people have been too used to seeing that in thai bl's cause it mostly shows a very accepting community/family/friends. But it's like a distant future close to utopia to most lgbt people in most of the asian countries, i mean specially where i'm from.
Considering how conservative Korea still is, I think they've done a great job depicting what a typical gay romance is like. I can't believe we're already coming toward the end. I'm still saving and savoring each and every episode cause it quickly became near and dear to me.
Do you know which episode Yin Zheng and Li Wei will get together as a couple and develop feelings for each other? If…
they do have feelings for each other since earlier episodes, especially the ML, but drunk ML kisses FL in ep 8, confession is in ep 10, FL accepts at ep 11.
very very helpfulcan you tell me do they have many kiss scenes/skinships too?
i watched it quite a while ago so i don't remember how much skinship they have but i do remember the main couple has a very very very fluffy romance. it's so fun to watch. but the 2nd couple was a little irritating at times. (also unrelated but i just saw that we joined MDL 1 day apart lol)
