Can anyone give spoilers, when will their first kiss be?
We are still waiting lol They have been together for 2 or 3 episodes already though. Their characters have no experience in dating so I guess that's why it's taking this long for a kiss.
Here goes what I've grasped so far, and I could be completely wrong... so don't take it as the actual plot yet…
The person who killed madam Joo isn't the same person who is trying to kill Do Do Hee.
The person who killed madam Joo is going after Mirae and the power of the company, not necessarily Do Do Hee. Since Madam Joo found out about it, this person had to kill her but as long as Do Do Hee doesn't get too close to the truth, she is safe from this person. And based on what we've seen so far, it seems that this person is Joo Seok Hoon.
The person who tried to kill Do Do Hee is related to Jung Koo Won. I think Do Do Hee is probably some type of "key" or an important character in the story for Jung Koo Won, so she needs to be killed. When we see the culprit receiving a message to release the dogs (aka the gang who is after Jung Koo Won seeking revenge for their boss), it says that "Abraxas" sent it. And how does this man have the info of the gang and that they are after Jung Koo Won? Well, here is why. Abraxas, as described by Carl Jung (who is a very popular psychologist and psychiatrist in South Korea), is a God who is << truly the terrible one >>; << magnificent even as the lion at the very moment when he strikes his prey down >>; << He is the monster of the underworld >>; << He is the bright light of day and the deepest night of madness >>; << He is the mightiest manifest being, and in him creation becomes frightened of itself >>. So that man trying to kill Do Do Hee isn't related to Madam Ju or Mirae at all.
Plus we have the homeless woman, who is probably a goddess. Maybe the opposite to Abraxas... I guess she will somehow help Jung Koo Won or Do Do Hee at a crucial moment, or she will guide them to fight and win against Abraxas.
But yeah, this is just what my brain came up with. So, to finish it up, Do Do Hee and Jung Koo Won probably have a past connection and that's why Abraxas is trying to kill Do Do Hee. Maybe they met each other back when Jung Koo Won was a human, koreans love to put this type of plot of reincarnations and destined humans. But why does she need to be killed? I guess we will find out in a few weeks.
Does someone have a link to read the novel in english? I know some JittiRain novels have been translated before like Theory Of Love and 2Gether, but I can't find Vice Versa. I'm not looking for the link where the thai novel is uploaded, but for an english translation. If there is none I guess I will end up translating the thai one then...
I think it was based on the webnovel that the webtoon was also based on, so there is no reason why it should be…
Oh, I didn't know it was from a webnovel. I thought it was based on the webtoon alone. Well... then I'm not going to give it another try at the moment. Thanks for the info! :)
I've not read the webtoon, but I have heard that there are a lot of differences from the webtoon. So I'd suggest…
The problem is that I enjoyed the webtoon but I didn't enjoy the premise of how they are going to handle the drama, so I guess I'll drop it and maybe someday in the future if I'm bored I'll give it another try :)
I've read the webtoon and I really enjoyed it, so I just started watching this drama with high expectations. Or at least hoping to see the webtoon in a "moving format".
Such a big disappointment. I dropped it after only 40 minutes. The leads don't match the ages/looks of the ones in the webtoon, everything is all over the place, and even the personalities are completely different...
Does it get better? For those who have read the webtoon, does it even get close to it somehow? The word I could use to describe my first impression is BORING.
Please, spoil me a bit if it does start to look like the webtoon at some point. I think that's the only way I could give it another try.
In all honesty, if I have to read a book to make sense of a drama, the drama has failed. I shouldn't need a magic…
Nah, it's barely 2 hours so the length is like a movie. However there are a lot of things happening that if you want to explain them well, you need more time. The novel has 2 books and if it was a movie, it would have 2 parts too. They tried to fit 2 books in only 2hrs... They even had to split Twilight and Harry Potter's last book into 2 movies... just to give you a couple examples, so yeah... that's the issue. You need to develop stuff for it not to feel rushed, and that's what happened. There are a lot of things that they skipped and you ended up wondering why something is like that, or how the story is going in a certain direction. Because they have literally copy-pasted the books but they didn't give enough time to process everything.
So people can still watch this 2hrs series, but without reading the book prior to it then they will probably feel that everything was too rushed and some stuff is missing (and that's exactly what happened to many, me included until I decided to read the novel to understand it better).
Now, if someone wants to truly enjoy it but doesn't want to read the novel, then that person must wait for the 10 episodes one that will be released soon and will probably give sense to everything that people didn't understand. So I was merely giving my advice to anyone interested on the series.
Please, read the novel beforehand if you are going to watch the short version of this drama. If you don't wanna read the novel, then I recommend to wait until they release the 10 episodes remake.
Due to the series being short, there is a lot of things that they skip and therefore it can be confusing. That's why I think you can truly enjoy the 4 episodes drama only if you have read the story beforehand. People, situations, and time skips will make it confusing if you don't know what's actually happening and not being shown.
So yeah... read the novel or wait for the longer version. You will enjoy it way more :)
TRIGGER WARNING: There is a very important change between the novel and the drama. In the novel Mark, who is drunk and heartbroken over Bar not loving him back, says that he wants to rape Bar with the typical excuse of 'if he tries it with me, he will like me' and 'if I can't have him, no one can'. But he tells his plans to Vee, who is Bar's best friend, and Vee decides to do to Mark what Mark wanted to do to Bar. So the story starts with Vee raping Mark (and it's pretty descriptive). I've read the novel on Wattpad and the person who translated it (at least the one I've read it from), lets you know about it beforehand and helps you out if you wanna avoid that part of the story. HOWEVER in the drama that doesn't happen. Mark says he wants to have sex with Bar (no rape mentioned), and Vee ends up having sex with him. It's consenseual. Mark agrees and knows who he is having sex with despite being drunk, as shown during the next morning scene. So the drama is safe, but the novel... just keep the tw in mind.
What a great thriller. I binge watched the whole thing in half a day. I've read that this is the first "time loop"…
These are the reasons why I can't give it a 10 out of 10:
1. The mysterious culprit is obvious since the very first episode. If you have watched a few thriller dramas like me, you won't be surprised once the culprit is revealed. I guessed it from the first episode and later on, when the identity was revealed, the leads themselves made the reasoning that you can easily make too from the get go. As always with these thriller dramas, you just need to pay attention to all the things being said on the first two episodes. So although I was satisfied finding out that I've been right from the beginning, I would have liked a plot twist and be shocked during the revealing.
2. They forget a few things on the way. The leads end up getting some traumas after going through all the loops, and it seems that it could influence the plot somehow. However it was addressed only for a few minutes and easily forgotten, which makes no sense since they gave importance to those "traumas". But after a little while it's as if nothing happened.
3. The climactic scene from the ending, the big moment when everything is resolved, was quite disappointing. They could have done it in many other ways that could have made more sense than the one they chose. They waited a lot of time talking nonsense, and it could have probably been resolved easily by mentioning MengMeng just from the beginning. I know they needed to extend the scene, but c'mon! They had less than 5 minutes and they definitely spent like 10. The time didn't match the scene.
4. We didn't get a background story for all the passangers. The old woman and the muscle man sadly didn't have any story about themselves, and I would have appreciate to know a little bit more about these 2 individuals.
5. This last one is from my liking, but I would have loved if someone else entered the loop at the last minute. I was hoping inspector Zhang would remember the whole thing, but us wouldn't have known about it until the climactic scene. And then boom! He knows about the loop and he knows the identity of the leads already. That would have been a nice plot twist, unfortunately they lost that chance.
Overall as I've said, the plot is good. It has nice acting, consistency, and it's clear. That's why it gets a 9.5/10 :)
What a great thriller. I binge watched the whole thing in half a day. I've read that this is the first "time loop" series produced by China ever, and they did a really good job.
Unfortunately I can't give it a 10 due to some little things, but it does deserve a 9.5 for sure. In case someone wants to know why I don't give it a 10, I'm gonna write a comment marked as a spoiler so read it at your own risk (not much spoiled though, but some)
However, it is a drama worth to watch. So give it a go if you are hesitating. Just don't expect much romance if that's what you are looking for.
You won't be able to dislike the characters and I was surprised by that. Some may be better individuals than the others, but you can empathize with all of them. The passengers were nice, the police was nice too, and even the culprit was somehow nice. Evil plans, but I get it. Just one character becomes hateful, but we don't know about him until the very end so all good.
PS: Lu Di best character of the whole show! Followed by inspector Zhang. Loved those two ♥
I really want to start this drama, as it sounds like my cup of tea, but something about the age gap (he looks…
I understand what you mean. And in the story he's over 900 years old and she is still underage when they meet and get close, which is weird af But you must not forget that this is a fantasy drama. So all what happens wouldn't happen in real life anyway, so it was never a big deal to me from the start because of that.
Uhm... It's been ages since I watched it, but I think it does. It's quite bittersweet right before the ending though But if you are talking about the couples having a happy ending, yes they do. Not the best ending in my opinion, but they do end up together.
Is Nuea supposed to be seem as straight who just "fell" for a man though? I mean none of his friends seemed surprised…
Actually at the last part of episode 4, after the night at the club, Toh's friends tell him that Nuea is known as the "pub hunter" (นักล่าร้านเหล้า) because he always ends up with someone whenever he goes drinking (regardless of gender). And they make fun of Toh because although Nuea ended up the night with him, nothing happened between them which isn't normal. So it's not directly said, but I guess that they are trying to imply that Nuea is known to be bisexual.
Some reviews were the reason why I skipped this drama at first, so let me say this: There is NO rape/sexual harassment in the series. I've read that there is in the novel. I can't say anything about it because I haven't read the novel, but if that's true then they have decided not to use it on the series.
The first scene is the leads (Mark & Vee) hooking up and Mark is quite drunk, but the next scene shows that he was aware of his actions. He was conscious while hooking up with Vee and he agreed on that. Take Kla and No's from "Love By Chance" as a reference. No freaked out the next morning after finding out what happened because he was so drunk that he wasn't aware of his actions, and couldn't even remember it. Moreover, Kla made him believe that he's the victim and No took advantage of him (when it was the opposite). But in "EOL: Mechanics" Mark is calm and happy the next morning after waking up next to Vee. Do you understand the difference from their reactions? So please, ignore all the comments talking about sexual harassment on this series because there is none. The director clearly wanted to show the audience that it was consensual. Yes, Mark was drunk, but not to the level where he can't be aware of what he's doing and with who. While I feel like the director from LBC tried to shoot Kla and No's scene as a love one when it's rape.
Eventhough you didn't ask for a movie, I am recommending Dew the Movie, which is a remake of the 2001 Korean movie…
Thank you! I usually don't watch movies but I'll check it out. And I've seen edits of "Together With Me". It was on my list of possible dramas to watch so after your words I'll give it a try for sure :)
Why don't you try Taiwanese bl called *history series*. I would recommend history: boundary crossing but if you…
Thank you! I've heard about those series before, but since I only watched thai dramas with BL content I wasn't sure about how Taiwanese BL dramas will be like. But I'll definitely check them out :)
