I was thinking the exact same thing! It is in character and corresponds to Changfeng’s attendant to kill him if he gets butterflied. But there will be some conflict because Qianyue will probably misunderstand him. There is also one line in the trailer from the doctor lady which also implies that Qianyue will know Changfeng’s sacrifice but later.
