I'm not saying there are none, there are several but compared to Asian adaptation of western franchise you can see there are less Western adaption of Asian franchise. Even old variety show in Asian a lot comes from Western franchise sometimes even several countries adapt them. Although I can see this shift, more and more Korean franchise now get several adaptation from other Asian countries
The ending feels very idealist to me, maybe that's why most people don't like it. But I agree it's the worse season of the series, both the action and the story isn't that touching or engaging enough for me. I kinda wish the director is more daring with the ending. I mean what's the point of creating all of these morally questionable characters if you just going to end it with a more idealist approach feels like a waste. I don't mind the western adaptation, as Asian I think it's rare for the western to pick up Asian series like this (that's not anime obviously) I just hope they don't butcher it that's all.

Dr Qin series is one of my favorite but the romance totally ruin it for me. But I'm sure you'll love it if you like romance. Just not for me that's all.
I find her character much better in the second season.
Maybe a lot of people are saying similar things so the writer fix her character but yeah 2nd season is a lot better and she also does a lot more too. Waiting for 3rd season now

Yeah I also expect something more dramatic but eh. Then again I think that IS his revenge cause the murderer also did the same with the FL family right so that's why he hurt the murderer family too just emotionally not physically.
This is basically a movie about game of hunting where the murderer got hunt by the main chara and then people died because of his sick game. If you expect any investigating like I did you will be disappointed since there hardly any. And I agree to the other comment it's boring so much emptiness in between peak especially in the beginning, I know we can't have thrilling scene forever but it's just too much and the length also too long. The ending also just like that, I expect something dramatic after all of these things but it doesn't happen. It's great premise on the use of fuck up logic of ML to take revenge but the execution is just so so. The "gore" and nudity is just there for decoration, to make the murderer look more evil without any purpose other than to justify the ML's action to revenge. And if you have high tolerance I think the gore isn't too much, it is very detailed tho but they cut the scene just before it happened. However, I'm still surprised they allow this amount of gore and nudity in commercial movie, I wonder how they pass the censorship. Great acting tho from both the ML and the murderer. I really wish to see them act together in other title but with better execution on the story.
