well, they could just exclude it :)) they can make vegas torture pete, try to get information out of him, insult him, beat him etc. to show how nasty vegas is bcoz of his trauma. they don't have to make him a cold-blooded rapist to prove a point that he is damaged and traumatised, that can be portrayed in many other ways. I personally like vegas cuz in a way I relate to him, and I don't want him to be a psycho just like in the book. he deserves love and forgiveness, which he will hardly receive if they make him the way they did originally.

I agree partially. Having read the novel, I can tell that writers did a good job at handling this matter: pete's trauma doesn't just disappear as soon as he falls in love with vegas (ahem.. tharntype, looking at you) and that problem still hangs up in the air and influences his decisions. he's well aware of what happened to him and however f-up situation he's in, he thinks reasonably. This is definitely well done compared to other BLs where you have characters accept it like it's a normal thing and sometimes even end up in relationships with their rapists (I really can't believe these things were written by adults).

On the other hand - why I don't fully agree with you - we have complexity of vegas's character. In my *humble* opinion, vegas is hands down the most human, best written character in this story. he is so complicated, deep down he has a wounded inner child that is good and seeks love and care, but it's buried deep inside all the envy and hatred. he was always ambitious and proud (a true capricorn (: ), which is why he was so traumatised by his father's constant criticism and abandonment. Pete comes along, and with just a little bit of attention and care, takes off this fake mask and proves vegas is capable of doing good and being a good person.

I feel that the writers did a bad job with adding this cold blooded assault to his character. It is up to no question that rape is something only true psychopaths are capable of, and making vegas a real psycho is just throwing this whole developed character down the drain. if they show the rape scene, the only outcome we could possibly want for vegas is his death, which I don't think is fair. this is where the romanticisation problem rises: you have a well-written character that you can relate to, but then that character does something so outrageous that you can't forgive them. many fans will simply go along with the story and forgive him, which is a very dangerous thing to do, since they can repeat the behaviour in real life, unaware of the damage.

I sincerely hope that they removed this bit from the series, since I personally relate to vegas and he is, in a way, my favourite character, but the whole time I was reading the novel, thought of this really disgusted me and didn't sit right, so I just pretended it wasn't true. I wanna watch the show in peace and not feel guilty about liking and relating to a character. Bible and Build are great actors and have good chemistry, and I think that they deserve to portray a couple which will be adored by fans, and not judged or disliked.

I don't think that they kept the rape part. Torture yes (I mean we saw vegas with those electrical wires ._.) but not the rape. They are aware of the fact that fans would be disappointed and would ditch the show.

well it's up to you. I reccomend reading it either way, you will like it I'm sure, and don't worry about spoiling the show cuz the actors confirmed that they changed the script and some parts will shock us so yeah, not even us who read the story will know how the things will turn out in the series, we'll wait and see

I read the entire novel and let me tell you, it's mind-blowing. In my opinion, the best BL/y novel out there. there are some disturbing parts, but it's literally a mafia themed story, and dark and twisted are the key element to it, so we can't really expect them to hold hands and go to the movies, right? :)) ofc, I would change the vegaspete story, cuz there is no excuse for SA, but I heard that they will tone it down in the show, so no worries.

no, it is not confirmed officially :(( a few websites posted this, but they removed it soon after, the production house must have contacted them. but, we know for certain that it will air in april, so no worries, in about month and a half we're getting our kinnporsche :)))

yes. not much is told about their story, I think that they will get a novel of their own, just like the rest of the side couples. but anyways, idk if you're familiar with the forest plot line, long story short, not long after kinn and porsche sleep together for the first time, they are abducted by the enemies, but they manage to escape and get lost in the forest for a few days. Meanwhile, little porsche calls pete and kinn's father tells him to come live with them until they find kinn and porsche. we don't know what's going on during this time, nor how they meet and start talking, since we follow events from the forest, but it is later clear that they had met and started hanging out at some point. after that, kim regularly starts coming home for dinner and such things (which is strange cuz he's always out of the house with his cars or playing games in his room) and everybody noticed this change, and assumed that it's cuz of porsche. we don't know exact moment that they start dating, but it's clear from some moments later into the story that they are. kim is always super protective over him. we will see more of them in the series, since it will be a multiple pov series. unlike the novel which is mainly porsche's pov, with a few chapters of kinn's. idk how much will they actually stick to the novel, since they added a new character (perth is playing him) - a bodyguard ken, who will supoosedly stir the pot. also, no one mentions tawan (kinn's ex) and his brother mek, who are one of the key storylines for the development of kinn and porsche's relationship. p'tong said that they made some changes to thankhun's character as well, he said that in the series he will be more mature (which I honesty don't look forward to that much, since he's one of my favs and his silly moments are hilarious). they said nothing about vegas and pete, but I am sure that they will change the story and exclude the SA, I think that they are well aware of the fact that the series will get canceled if they don't. they are keeping the bdsm part tho, p'tong said that it's gonna be like 50 shades of grey. they are 5 (maybe even 6) couples in total, and every one of them is so different, yet beautiful in it's own way. april better come soon.

I think they're making it a bit darker and more edgy regardless of the book. Writers focused more on love, feelings etc. cuz that's usually what readers of BL/yaoi are interested in, but they hired a new director who is known for dark mafia/horror movies, so we can expect more of that in the series. Also, writers confirmed that the series will focus more on the conflict between the major and minor clan, so i expect the series to be nastier and have more action scenes than the book. and don't worry about comic scenes, khun is a real gem, he's fandom's favorite :))

it's actually bible, idk I think he studied in eng, or he's mixed, he speaks it very well. you can see in every interview he's usually the one adressing the international fans, but as somebody said, the whole cast is pretty talented, we have actors, singers, guitarists, drummers... it's gonna be great :))

right? and practically any other uni BL we've seen so far handles this topic pretty problematically as well, but we don't talk about it now, do we? Tharntype, Together with me, History 4... in all of these stories boys literally end up in "sweet" relationships with their rapists, and nobody bats an eye, but when somebody decides to make a mafia story with violence, it's suddenly a problem. the hipocrisy is loud. Like what did you expect? Barbie dolls? ofc not, it is going to be intense and disgusting at some parts, but that's how (and much worse) it is in real life. If you can't handle it, that's ok, just don't watch it and don't be a spoilsport to everyone else and try to cancel a show that hasn't even aired yet, worse hasn't even finished filming yet.

I agree with every word here! I am frankly not that big of a fan of BL, I only watched few more popular ones like tharntype, together with me etc. and I must say, however few BLs that I've seen, SA is portrayed so poorly in each and one of them. for example tharntype - type is so traumatized by his assault that he basically hates everything gay - and then the next episode he's happily screwing tharn with no mention of his trauma ever again? Li Chen and Mu Ren in History 4 were pretty cool, but the other couple? His step bro literally stalks him, beats up his friends for no reason whatsoever, assaults him while he's drunk, and they still end up together? in together with me (which I consider to be the best BL I've seen so far cuz of character complexity and positive female characters) there is still a totally uncalled for treatment of SA - Farm is practically forced into an orgy, and he ends up with the guy who dragged him into it. Like wtf? Sometimes I can't believe that these things were written by adults.

I've read KinnPorsche novel, and I must say that it is really good and I have high expectations for it. It covers many serious topics, as we said already crime, assault, murder, but also romance, erotica and comedy at some parts. Characters are pretty realistic and their development is well written, and the story is overall interesting and keeps you wanting more. It's definetely not your everyday BL where we have poorly written enemies-to-lovers university trope, where characters basically have no personality and you only watch it for the sexy parts while skipping everything else. If you are sensitive to things like violence, drugs, guns, SA, kidnapping, that is totally ok and KP might not be for you, but let's not judge or "cancel" the show three months before it has even aired.

The problematic story we're talking about here is one of Vegas and Pete, and while it is pretty hard to forgive, you really see it progress like it would have in real life. Both of them have many internal struggles, and long after SA happens the problem still hangs in the air and influences their decisions. And also, bear in mind that this is mafia, family members practically kill each other with no mercy (just like the real life mafia) so yeah, these (and much worse) things happen irl, but as I said, it is covered pretty well in the novel, and I've heard a famous director is in the team, so I have no worries :))

the original novel is on the website called tunwalai, it's in thai with no official eng translation. it was free to read up until recently, but writers decided to make it a paid story, so if you don't know thai nor plan to spend money, tunwalai is not the solution lol. I read it on wattpad, somebody made a really good eng translation of the whole novel, but they decided to take it down after a while so they don't have any copyright issues. There is also someone on twitter translating it, the profile is called lady q translating kinnporsche, but it's going slow and they still haven't finished the entire thing. writers announced that they will make an official english translation soon, it will be in paperback and the translator will be Bible (the guy who plays Vegas).

I think he's 17 at the moment, but however there are no mature scenes with his character in the novel, presumably cuz the character is around the same age as the actor and KimChe are supposed to be the cute/fluffy couple in the story (unlike the other three couples that our brutal, especially Vegas and Pete haha)

they do end up together, but there is a major cliffhanger at the end of the book, signaling that we will get the second part (writers confirmed that it will come out soon). I recommend reading the entire novel, it is really great and well-written, you won't be disappointed :))
