People are accustomed to know and hear directly what the characters feel and think. But in this, people are forced to guess what the characters think based on what their expression and body language. It is called a third person objective point of view. In this case, it is used to strengthen the realism aspect of the drama.
What makes a drama dramatic? The use of expression and the use of camera focus. The zoom in and zoom out. The heart voices. Flashbacks... This drama rarely or maybe never uses them, because it to make it as realistic as possible. I don't want to say this as a flaw. But certainly not many people are a fan, as I can see.
If people expect what they expect from a third person omniscient pov, (like what most dramas use) from it, then people need to change their perspective too. Because this drama is the epitome of "show, don't tell".
About the voyeur... yes. Third person objective pov does make you feel that way. About characters attachment, I think that is subjective but I agree to some degree. Dragging out? Maybe, to some degree.
I won't say the drama is the best ever, because certainly not in my book, but I just want to defend their narration choice here and giving some insight of their intention.
