I don't mind sa in a show because it is fiction, I don't mind it being portrayed either. In kp I don't see any…
This is a really good insight!

it's because people hold bl on a standard that should not be held on to. if this was some kinky ass heterosexual…
I can totally see that, as an old bl viewer i think that the double standard thing has always been an issue and kinnporsche just highlighted that because never before thailand, which we can consider the capital of bls, produced something like this.

I have been asking the same question, how come people are not complaining about the killing, Pete beating that…
Exactly! And even with the vegaspete storyline i've seen comments like "they can leave the torture but i hope they can leave the sa out" like what?? so torture it's okay but sa is where we draw the line? mmh that's just weird to me ahah

At the end of the day, it's a matter of choice. If someone's uncomfortable, they should not continue watching,…
For sure, different people can find different things triggering or simply they don't like certain things/themes, i agree it's all about personal preferences, but since 9 out of 10 people who dropped it, they dropped it because of the sa or 9 out of 10 complaints are about that, i was just wondering what makes the sa the worse thing ever in the show when there is literal killing (and torture ahead of us) I just find it strange lol

It's baffling to me, for example we have shows like Bad Buddy, that were able to run from beginning to end without…
You always have the most interesting takes! "The world doesn't revolve around you and your moral expectations" Yeah, i think that this sentence basically sums up the problem of today's viewers/readers/ etc... which is sad because this same energy, like you said, is never given to western shows :(

Okay after reading an interesting comment below now i want to ask y'all a question. Why is killing, different forms of manipulations/gaslighting, kidnapping, etc.. kind of accepted but people collectively decided to draw the line at SA?? I don't understand, because if we talk about morality, while they might not be on the same level, those actions are all morally wrong. So why do people feel the need to call out the sa and the "romanticization" of it (not my opinion but i've seen a lot of people taking an issue in the romanticization of the act) but do not have the same energy towards all the things listed above?? Like, is there something that makes sa worse than killing? Is it about how they are portrayed? Pls call me dumb all you want but i've been thinking about it for a while and i still don't have an answer lol

Ew.....
I get that you're probably a troll but just in case you're not i want to let you know that you could have shared your opinion and everybody would have respected it and most def agreed to disagree but you decided to straight-up be disrespectful and plain hateful which is the ultimate red flag if you ask me. So, instead of worrying about a product of FICTION and its "apologists" go and do some self-reflection cause' honey you really need it!

I apologize if i'm going to sound harsh but after this episode, i don't want to hear any more "but it was his first series/movie" bull to justify bad/barely mid acting of some bl actors. Mile is the proof that you can be good at your first (like, come on he delivered and devoured with that ending scene), the truth is that if you have to use these excuses the possibility that x actor just sucks is very high.

(context for those interested: i've just caught up with 2 other thai bls where both main leads are first-timers and all i can say is bad acting ruins it for me, even if the plots suck harder than their skills, the acting is what most of the time turns me off, so frustrating)

I agree, this is fiction and i treat it as such, were we discussing a real-life situation i would have taken a totally different stance, however, we are talking about fictional characters whose fictional nature is the reason we have the right to speculate.

"We can enjoy the ride, no matter how "bumpy" it gets, or get off at the next corner" Well said! And thank you for your input!

I really love the fact that people are interpreting the episode in different ways, especially as they portrayed…
Wow, this is such a well-put analysis, you made a lot of great points that i can't help but agree! I must admit that i didn't ponder enough on certain scenes/words because it was the first watch and generally, i don't pause or rewind so this will surely be helpful for my rewatch.
You gave me some food for my thought which is always appreciated :)

It's really fascinating how we all watched the same episode and yet we perceived it differently, i keep seeing people say that this episode clearly shows porsche dealing with the trauma of him being sexually assaulted by kinn, hinting that in fact, it was r*pe. However, when i first watched the episode i felt something completely different. They once again served us a what i would call a "gray-zone" episode (which is what all the series is about: gray areas. Especially when it comes to the vegaspete storyline) as porsche didn't voice his feelings about the night before giving space to the different interpretations of the viewers. Imo, more than the "forced" sexual encounter from the night before, porsche is just struggling in coming to terms with his attraction (and growing feelings) towards kinn as well as suffering from being once again denied that validation/support that he seems to yearn so much from kinn, leading to a series of humiliations which is what i believe really breaks him inside. Ofc, this could be totally wrong after the 6th episode where kinn and porsche will hopefully get everything out on the table, but for now, this is how i see it.

Btw i love this comment section with my whole heart, it is the only safe space where someone can express different opinions without being shamed for it, so keep up the good energy and fruitful discussions because i'm a fan! <3
