Honestly, the law side of the movie wasn't really impressive and I was disappointed in the prosecutor for not being able to anticipate the defence counsel's arguments, especially when Ji Woo came to the stand. Of course, it appears that this was a bit of a plot convenience because the defence counsel does save the day after all.
That aside, I still give this at least an 8/10 for Hyang Gi's brilliant portrayal of a person with ASD. She honestly had me 100% convinced with her acting skills, even knowing that I've already watched a couple of her other movies and short dramas with verrry different character portrayals (e.g. Snowy Road, Drunk in Good Taste, Along with the Gods series). I haven't seen watched many films/dramas with child actresses/actors, but so far, she really takes the cake for me!
This movie probably would have still worked really well without the gangster storyline - it made the film a tad bit comical in my opinion. Otherwise, this movie was great! The final scene in which the male lead imagines he is reunited with his sister and dog was one of the most heart-wrenching scenes I've seen.
It's so hard to tell if this is good or not because all the people really watching this movie because of Wu Yi…
I see what you mean, I also normally jump to look at the reviews before watching a movie, though there were quite a few movies that I've personally liked that a lot of reviews had dissed. I'm not saying that this is the case with Kris' movie; in my opinion, I thought it was horrid for someone who's watched many chinese movies over the past 15 years. So yeah...
