I am only on episode 3 and I am getting bored.... I like that it is giving me nostalgic feels for 2005-2010 dramas... but something feels empty about it? Kamiki is going a great job so I will probably finish it... But something is missing.
This bored me to death T_T but also enraged me so much. The way things play out actually disgust me and cos no…
I know how you feel. When I read the book a few years ago this is exactly how I felt. It is one of my most hated books. But I am enjoying the Jdrama way more than the book, probably because it is giving more reasoning behind why they don't fight back. Also the actors are doing an amazing job. Either way I don't understand why this is such a loved story. (And I love tragic stories.)
I feel as if I am the only person who did not enjoy this drama. There was too much filler and unfunny forced comedy.…
Yes, the "puns" in this drama. They were not puns. I am sure there were a few real ones, but most of the crap Miyama was spouting were not actually puns. A pun is a play on words that can have multiple meanings or substituting words that sound alike. I would let you argue the puns if they were more along the lines of "itadaki-mouse" since that would actually be a real play on words as it still sounds like the real word... but just tacking on a random word that has no alternative meaning nor sounds anywhere similar... nah. But, I mean, if you enjoy uninspired "puns" like "itadaki-manchester united" then more power to you I guess. Either way, I found it extremely try hard and forced.
I feel as if I am the only person who did not enjoy this drama. There was too much filler and unfunny forced comedy. The puns were not even real puns??? They tried to give the main character quirky attributes, such as touching his ears, or that fact that he carried around spices... but... everything felt so forced. It felt as if they looked up a list of the most iconic Jdramas, and then tried to emulate them.
The more I sit and think about this drama, the less it even makes sense. Everything falls apart when you think about how the characters are connected, and what they have done. None of it makes sense. I feel so robbed. Ueno Juri deserves better.
Why would Hoshino question Mizunos identity and investigate her based on the sole fact that she betrayed her trust over a boy she liked?
How the fuck was it her adoptive father the whole time? That completely breaks apart everything. How would she have even gotten the job. How would have Arima not know who she was if her adoptive father and him had been working together the whole time? Not to mention the fact that her adoptive father supposedly visits the hospital to see his real daughter often????? How was he never seen before?????????????
The sheer fact that everything fits into place of so forcibly through the use of info dumps is what bothered me most. It is almost hilarious how bad the writing is, and the way the plot gets revealed. It is presented in a "BUT WAIT!!! There's more!!!" format.
I was rolling my eyes so hard during the last few episodes I am surprised I could still read the subs.
I am a sucker of the revenge so I couldn't possibly miss this drama despite the existance of the Medical genre…
Are you me? I just started this and I am having the same thoughts. I hate medical, but I was won over by the revenge aspect. The set up for who she gets revenge on is really bothering me. They make the bad guys look SO BAD that... it loses its believability? It is a shame, because I feel this could have been amazing, and its a waste of a good cast.
