After watching this drama in 2016 when it first came out and then rewatching it twice afterwards, I finally realized Bai Yu was the actor for Cao Guang...

Zhang Ruo Yun, Bai Yu, Li Hong Yi, and Yu Meng Long all together in one drama together??? Damn I'm gonna die of hotness overload lol. I love all four of these actors. Looking forward to this so bad right now but does it seriously have to have 92 episodes...

The air date for this drama is November 3rd. For some weird reasons Jin Han is not listed as part of the cast here but I saw character posters for his character somewhere.

From what I know, this drama is going to be aired starting from October 22, 2 eps everyday. I hope that this drama would be as intriguing as the first one!!

So as a person who's seen the korean version of this drama, I really think china should not have made a remake of this. Lee Jong Suk and Lee Bo Young's I Can Hear Your Voice is one of the most classic kdramas out there. But like also as a major cdrama fan, I'm happy they did a remake of this drama with two of my favorite actors. I'm still on the first episode right now and don't know what to think of it, but I think I'll just view this as a completely new drama, not a remake so I will enjoy it better.

Also, I think another reason why I thought the drama was better was cuz the drama had better voice actors. The voice actors in the movie sound really fake and over reactive.

So I have watched the first 40 mins of the movie and I am seriously thinking that the drama version was a bit better. I like xiao zhan, li qin, and tang yixin but their acting here isn't the best. They do so much better in other dramas that they have been in. I'm not putting hate on them here, but li yi feng's portrayal of zhang xiao fan is still imprinted in my mind, so I didn't really like xiao zhan's portrayal of the character. Also, I thought that Tang Yixin does a lot better as Tian Linger in the drama than in the movie.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed but I think the person who dubbed Gu Li Na Zha's voice in this drama is the same one that dubbed Dilireba's in some other drama... the voice sounds really similar

lol i think it's cuz he looks really suspicious. tbh from the very beginning i thought his character was a bit off

Wow I didn't even know that he was on Idol Producer season 1... but he does a really good job in The Untamed!!

As a person who loved the drama version of this movie, I have to say this is the one and only time that the movie version did not do major changes to the plot of the story. That, I was happy about. But after watching the drama, there are so many minor details that the movie didn't show which made the drama so much more meaningful. Also, I am a little biased to Tan Songyun and Liu Haoran. I must say that Chen Feiyu and He Landou did pretty well in portraying the characters, but they still have a lot of room to improve and be better actors.

why are there already ratings when the drama hasn't even aired yet??

is it only me but the first ep didn't make me interested in the drama. unlike my huckleberry friends and with you, the main characters did not stand out enough. maybe its just the beginning of the drama... i'm not sure if I should continue watching it or not...

I don't know if anyone was reminded of The King's Woman after watching this drama? I know that this drama is the period of time in history before the King's Woman. It's interesting to see the prequel of events leading up to the King's Woman. Haven't finished watching the drama yet but I have high expectations for more intense power struggles and schemes. Also, I was just wondering was the Palace of Yanxi filmed before or after this drama? Cuz I felt that Wu Jin Yan's acting was a lot better in here compared to her character in Yanxi.

Is it only me but isn't a majority of the cast all part of Jaywalk Studio? I swear everytime I watch a drama that has Jaywalk Studio artists I see like 2 or 3 of them in the drama together

Also I was wondering if anyone has watched Ruyi's Love in the Palace. Is Yanxi or Ruyi better? Is it worth the 87 episodes?
