Lige commited suicide because the king, wanted her to die, but Peng Cheng Wang wants to keep her by his side. Lige didn't want to him to leave the palace and politics because the citizens of the country needed him to keep order and peace. Therefore, she sacrificed herself for the sake of the citizens of the country. (at least that's how I interpreted it, don't know if its correct lol) Zijin killed herself in front of her dad so he would stop seeking revenge and killing more people. I think this drama is much better than Royal Nirvana. I feel that this drama focuses more on familial love and friendship than Royal Nirvana which focused more on politics

The main couple is Huang Chengzi and Tan Song. I wouldn't say that there is a love triangle but there's another guy, Yao Haonan that likes Chengzi, but she only has eyes for Tan Song lol. Chen Zui has a major crush on Zhu Jinxiao but he never confesses to her. There's a happy ending tho.

I didn't think I would get through this drama in the beginning. After watching the first episode, I was still confused on what was happening and who the main characters were, even so, I continued on with the second episode of the drama. I love medical dramas, but this was so much different than the other medical dramas I've watched. This drama focused more on the relationship between the 5 main doctors and the stories of the different patients. The last few episodes made me tear up so much cuz of the touching parts, especially when the medical student started crying and missing her mom. Heard that the writers who wrote this drama also wrote Reply 1988, which I started so many years ago but never finished. Now, after finishing this drama, I'm gonna binge Reply 1988

In my opinion, the reason why this drama has such high ratings is for the acting and the cute relationship they have in the drama. I do agree that the plot of the drama is kinda cringy, but its a light drama. The ratings are relatively high on mydramalist, but the chinese ratings website, douban, doesn't have such high ratings for this drama. Last time I checked it around a 6. something
