Where is our empathy & tolerance people?

There was a lot of work done to make it enjoyable. The couple's chemistry is a combined effort of the screenwriter/author (for the unhinged plot & nuanced dialogs), the director (for directing the scenes) to the actors (for making us feel it). Despite the limited budget, they worked with snakes (the first adaptation of the novel didnt even feature snakes!) to believable CGIs and sets that didnt feel cheap. Not to forget, these are actors from the mainland where homosexual content is still a crime. Enough reasons for me to feel happy to watch the drama and support them. The fun far outweighs the drama's limitations imo :)

If you were entertained by the drama, it must be great. It doesn't have to have a special reason for it to be a 10 other than "I enjoyed it".

Yeah, I kind of don't buy the invalid account theory though it sounds the most reasonable optimistically. However, there are many plot holes to this theory. If a ton of new accounts were created to specifically rate top rated BLs so next in line, say J & J gets ahead, then admin clean up should have gotten rid of their votes, assuming these are invalid/bot accounts. That should theoretically increase the rating, not decrease it. So if what the admin says is true, then the rating dropped because the invalid accounts were all rating RL much higher than average (8.9 at the time), so probably all 9-10 rated ones. Regardless of how popular (# of votes) the series garnered, the rating difference seem to be around 0.3-0.4 as you brought it up, so a proportional number of accounts were created to inflate/deflate the rating based on popularity, which is soooo weird. Like why would all the people who voted between the last clean up and the recent clean up be homogenous, such that the rating dropped the exact fraction? What would be interesting probably might be to see the exact time the rating drop occurred, say 3:14 am on 16 July etc. If they happen to be around the same time for all these shows, then its most likely an MDL administered thing? I wonder what the algorithm is and how often MDL delete invalid accounts. I did look around non-BL dramas aired recently/airing currently in the top list and all of them seem to have stable ratings. woah, this series is super low rated. Imagine training all that aerial acrobatics for a drama, insane, thumbs up! Strong chemistry and acting, loving it so far!!

just curious, do we know any non-BL high rated show being aired currently that saw a rating dip as well? Its most likely those shows also get affected when admins were doing the clean-up duty. Alternatively, there is a very slight chance that only BL shows get hit by invalid accounts...just wondering.

Same. I prefer reading published works since there is someone (or many) who proof reads and edits your work. Money spent ensures they don't compromise on quality :)

Her work is several times more darker and toxic than what you watch on TV. Passing sounds like a good plan, especially if you want to read something that is written better. Usually wattpad stories are written and posted on a daily/weekly basis. These stories can be long winded and less coherent depending on the length since the author may not have a set plotline on their mind when initiating the novel. So there are good days and bad days. Translated stories can be especially challenging on top of the original work in these cases.

I am not a fan of anyone or follow actors on instagram so I don't get recommendations to watch shows. ngl, I sort my search by ratings when I look for new dramas to watch. So I always rate the shows I've watched with integrity and expect the same from others. Yes, I am new here :P

It reads like a teenage girl's fan fiction, just like most stories on wattpad. Its hot garbage from a literary standpoint, but if the language quality doesn't bother you, then its a fun, long read (as long as you are okay with the trigger warnings).
