How? Can u Elaborate.. I want to watch it, But ryt now just reading comments to make a decision.
I felt like the "mystery" was not super complex but the way the episodes were directed stretched the thin plot to make it seem intense and gripping. You'll keep watching because the acting, music, and plot is excellent up until ep 7, but once the mystery unfolds (before the halfway mark everything is almost solved), you'll probably wonder why it took the show this long tell this story. And you'll wonder what more is left in the story for the next 8 episodes since the killer's identity is out. To summarize, I enjoyed the first half, but I didnt feel like I could finish watching the episodes without ton of skipping to complete the series. If you want to see if this show is for you id suggest watching at least 3 episodes before deciding to continue/give-up, because the first episode or two is extremely slow paced: setting up the characters and their backgrounds.
I like Max, he's charming and a decent actor, but I drop all his projects midway because of poor plot + his ship partner Nat's acting skills. I really wish he either gets a new partner in BL with better acting skills or he takes on roles outside of BL, action thriller or romance even with a woman for love interest.
Loved most of your review except some parts. Sad ending does not mean bad writing. The ending is literally in the title, thats the story the writers wanted to tell us right from the start, if you dislike sad endings, you should have avoided the drama, imo. Its a story of love found and a love lost. Its not a plot device to get the actors to give a steller performance or for us viewers to shed tears. A fairytale life is stuff of the dreams but reality sometimes doesnt have happy endings. 28 y.o. Footballer Diogo Jota recently lost his life in a car crash, at the peak of his career, father to 3 beautiful kids, married his long time partner less than 2 weeks before his demise is not fair either. I know it hurts our heart to watch these kinda of dramas or listen to these type of news, but its what it is, life ain't fair, it doesnt respect your disapproval. Skipping the last episode or docking points for having a sad theme takes away the point of the story, not to mention we got to see Wayne Song's and Yu Xi Gu's mom's excellent performances because of this finale.
I have to respectfully disagree with your review. It is biased and untoward; the rest of the cast & production worked very hard creating this beautiful show for us. Had they known about the actor's actions prior to filming, then this take would be somewhat acceptable, but not otherwise. The fallout after the incident for the actor is clear indication that the Production & Management company are taking the allegations seriously. Ratings should be about the drama and not be discriminatory; its a collective work of many other good artists who are no way responsible for this person's actions.
go on it does get better and make sure to watch the real ending on yt theres an extra clip that really makes this…
Thank you for the tip! I am loving it so far and im on episode 4 :) I heard there is a movie to watch after the show. Is that the yt ending you were speaking of?
