Does anyone know if this show is going to be released on U.S. Disney+ after it's finished airing? I know it's Disney+ Asia right now but I don't have a vpn.
Probably a business decision by Netflix. The writer is extremely skilled and has an amazing track record, he was…
Netflix produced shows are so frustrating in that regard. They never have a conclusive ending. It's always open-ended, or even worse a cliff hanger. And a lot of them never even get seasons 2 which makes it feel like watching season 1 was a big waste of time. I was satisfied with this show's ending, but i'd understand if people were annoyed with it. One thing I always appreciated about Korean shows is they're almost always one season long and the screenwriter writes the show with that in mind. I hope they keep it that way, and not fall into the American t.v. show formula where it's always about doing a season ending cliff-hanger to get a season 2.
Although i thought it was fitting for Soo Hyun to die at the end, they did such an awful job with his death scene. Him getting lit up with 20 rounds of ammunition from those swat memebrs was so unecessary and ridiculous that it felt like they weren't trying to be serious. I'd much rather of seen an ending where it was just Soo Hyun, Hyun Jin, and the father in the room, and Soo Hyun kills him. After killing him, he gives a short monologue about how he finished his job and tells her to take care of Seul Gi. Then says something like "it's time to pay for my sins now" and turns the gun on himself. Nice show but rushed with a weak ending. 8/10
