heck no. fan xian already has lin wan'er (basically in a long distance relationship), and if he also got together with duoduo, this would turn into a harem drama. fan xian is from the modern world; you'd think that he would have better morals than that, especially since the system of taking concubines/multiple wives in ancient china further cemented women's low status in society. if he actually takes duoduo as his second gf, i'm going to barf. this show already has a problem with writing their female characters (ruoruo's lack of personality aside from supporting fan xian unconditionally, wan'er's reaction to fan xian's frankly unacceptable advances and her general relevance in the plot, etc.).
I ship Fan Xian so much with the Saintness. Is it possible that they get together actually for this season? Plsssss!…

Hey listen, (if u haven't realised it yet) True Beauty is a rom com k-drama, high in ratings in it's own rights.…
i hope you come to realize that you are being homophobic and that it is not okay. cheering you and your future period of self-reflection on! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ good luck!
This is pretty sad that it has a higher rating then true beauty, im dying XD
hahaha you coward, deleting your comment because you couldn't come up with anything reasonable to explain your gross homophobia. i still remember what you said: "it's adam and eve not adam and steve, b!tch".

wth was your own "comeback"? either way, homophobia is never okay. why would you discriminate against something that people have no control over?
you have no idea what identity and external struggles lgbtq+ people go through every day. if god preaches for love, when why do you hate? your current attitude disgusts me.
The romantic relationship between Xie Lian and Hua Cheng is going to be passed as friendship, how otherwise is…
i personally did not love the untamed despite liking the book, and i dropped it around episode 10-something. one thing i hope for is a medium or high budget for the project, as i could not stand the cheap props and cgi of the untamed. i haven't watched any dramas with tan jianci and chen zheyuan, but from the looks of it, tan jianci looks young. the untamed casting worked because wang yibo and xiao zhan look the same age when they are supposed to be the same age in the novel, which is a different situation from sha po lang. a romantic relationship is of course not possible, but as indicated by woh, it's definitely possible to toe the line between romance/soulmates/friendships. obviously, i agree that they will change the reason of hua cheng's wait. I feel like you took my last sentence too seriously, which was what birthed your entire post. it was a more of an offhand remark of frustration because this is one of my favorite chinese webnovels. i am familiar with china's censorship and will not expect blatant expressions of love. i agree with most of your post, but i disagree that most danmei dramas (at least including this one) are made to please the crowd. tgcf's chinese fandom is massive; they are a powerful moneymaker if pleased. you can see firsthand how influential a fandom is when mo dao zu shi fans got rid of the wei ying x wen qing romantic relationship storyline, which ultimately benefited the production immensely. on winner is king's cast, i will stand by my own opinion. i am kinda put-off by the looks of gu yun's actor? of course, i am probably in the minority and will wait for the drama to air before solidifying my opinion.
I believe the cast selected was a good choice. The main actors indeed have an age gap. Tan Jian Ci is 30 years…
i suppose that part of the reason i find it hard to imagine him as gu yun is because when i read the novel, my image of his face was vastly different from tan jian ci's face. i thought that gu yun should have a sharper face. i acknowledge that they have an age gap, but from a quick search on youtube, tan jian ci doesn't look that much older. haha maybe after all, it's because tan jian ci isn't really that good-looking imo. the leads actually don't look too similar, but it was just that angle/hairstyle that made them look alike during the awards show. i'm also worried about their interpretation of steampunk, since i feel like those types of cgi and costumes have a tendency of looking cheap if not done well.
I just put it on hold after ep. 10 or 11 where the main pair talks in her room. I really like the political intrigue…
i find the drama's portrayal of female characters questionable (although not entirely unexpected, considering that this was a harem novel originally), and i dislike the main pair myself. however, please keep watching! the plot really improves the longer you watch, and i enjoyed it immensely!
hmmmm the main cast is a bit iffy to me... i saw a video of the two actors giving speeches at an award show and their faces are very similar (and not really to my taste??) with no sense of an age gap.
i think i'll have to wait and see. i hope that the drama will change my mind, and i am excited to watch it.
i really hope that they'll be able to find actors to fit their characters, both in acting and in physical appearance. i'm somewhat disappointed in the casting for sha po lang, as the two actors seem like they don't even have an age difference and cp feel, so hopefully tgcf won't make the same mistake. tbh the stakes are high for the people behind the drama because the expectations are high, so if this drama fails to deliver, the cast and production team will also be ridiculed.
let's just hope that they don't make the 800 years of romantic yearning into 800 years of desire for a brotherly friendship!
If you can choose only ONE out of the four - GJ, WYB, XZ & ZZH, who is the most attractive and handsomest of them…
for me, it's gong jun. his face is a unique blend of feminine and masculine features. i find his mouth area particularly charming, since he has a thin, yet defined cupid's bow and a comparatively thicker lower lip, leading to a lot of upper teeth show. for some reason, it's very endearing, especially when he smiles.

lgbtq+ people are facing very real struggles: the issue of parenting and marriage, discrimination, hate crimes, etc.
what makes homophobia okay to you? please explain; i would love to know.

anyways, i will keep my expectations low.
