Ok, level with me. I'm on episode 3 right after he pulls her from the water, she nearly slaps him, then comes back holding his pinky like a lovesick puppy. For me, this is embarrassing and cringey. Does the cringe factor go down? Because i would rather drop this than watch much more of that.

I just realized this is based on a novel I seriously love. How is this compared to the novel? Have they changed a lot?

I've seen a lot of people mention that there is a lot of angst, but is there happy moments as well? At least some brevity every now and then?
