There still is that rumor that Tencent will be broadcasting the Drama. As some of you might know, Tencent is currently broadcasting the HUGELY POPULAR "Pillow Book" which will end on March 5. Well, I don't know if the slot the 'Pillow Book' leaves behind is already filled but it would make sense if they start broadcasting "The Wolf" after that. It might catch some of the popularity the pillow book left behind...
Short statement from the director: Even he doesn't know when the Wolf will air - he is waiting for the Wolf as well. So, this means, the drama is either in the hands of the broadcasting stations or still under revision/being proofed by the government....
Soooooo....there's some new development actually. :-) Frankie Chen (the producer) posted a picture of herself, Talu Wang and Yao Yao with the comment: "Happy start ~ ^ _ ^ May our prince and princess have a big job this year ~"
And Talu's answer: Where is your highness? (with a smirking/knowing smile^^)
My guess: An actual release date exists already, maybe they are not allowed to talk about it (yet)...
And: The good thing: The Wolf will be airing this year. The bad thing: There are still 11 months left of 2020.
At this moment, I would rather have this drama to air than having a love life... HAHAHA... that's how desperate…
I started watching The Pillow Book (even if I don't like Vengo Gao and Dilraba Dilmurat) because there's nothing interesting airing in Dramaland atm and the Thai/Korean dramas I'm waiting for are still in production. :-/
Oh no... I agree with all the above comments, I am all here for Li Qin and Darren Wang originally, so if they…
Given the fact that 2019 isn't that long anymore..^^. I actually support the rumors that the Wolf might start broadcasting once "Sword Dynasty" is finished (begin/mid January). It seems to be the most logical outcome.
That I think that the drama starts airing in 2020 doesn't mean that a final broadcasting date can't come any day now.^^
And as always: These thoughts are only speculations, not facts. :-)
Wait a minute... Xiao Zhan and Li Qin??? I thought Darren Wang is the first male lead, and Xiao Zhan is the second…
Xiao Zhan is much more popular (than Darren Wang) at the moment, so it makes sense that they advertise the drama with him. They want to get a huge viewership.

No facts. Just my wildest therories: :-D

(Which doesn't make me more hopeful, tbh. I've been disappointed far too often when it comes to this drama.)

I still hope that they didn't change the plot...
