I can't help but think the leader from Eagle House is the empress Bayan Khutugh, anyone else??
Yeah, had the same thought. It has to be one of them, after how that merchant bowed down and also a woman, so assuming it's not Sungnyang and not the Dowager, only Bayan is left.

This could have been a good drama. Not earth-shattering, but still good. But common...! All these dirty, dirty plot moves to create moar drama!!1! are really too much for me (maybe just seen it too many times, so might be digestible for the fresher audience). For instance:
A and B are a couple. B and C *were* a couple at one point. A is aware of B and C's past. A is secretly listening to a conversation between B anc C. B talk about their past plans and dreams (together with C that is). A is hurt and runs away, not listening to the end. ...And in that moment B continues saying that this is no longer true, because they have A. A and B meet again, they argue, no one explains anything. Bam! Drama.
Currently at 9th episode and loving every minute of it~
Although... rubber armour. Rubber armour everywhere :O Hah hah xD
One day, I'd love to see a historical drama like this but with high production budget, so that they can give these wonderful actors some real armour and other high quality period clothes to wear *_*

Other than that, if you dislike plainly stupid female leads with no self respect, steer clear of this (and other spawns of this series including Playful Kiss and Izatura na Kiss).
