Lee Se Young gets better with each role. She has been hitting it out of the park since Hit the Top, back in 2017. Her big beautiful eyes are mesmerizing while her silky voice in either Japanese, English, or Korean keeps you engaged. I don't watch a lot of Japanese dramas or movies but I have seen Sakaguchi and he fits nicely with her. Great drama but to be honest, you have to be in the right mood for this type of melodrama. It's a serious drama about cross-culture/race love. I know how difficult that can be because i am married to someone from a different culture/race. It's even tougher for Koreans especially because the family bond is so strong, not that Japanese isn't but Koreans are tied at the hip like no other. This could be good and bad, but mostly good from my perspective.

User: Augustt. this is turning out to be a good drama and the way they are easing the romance and love between the two leads is interesting. I said weird earlier in my post but I guess I should have given it a few more episodes and time because even though I still feel the way I do about the Mother that dreams and FL, their characters have progressed nicely. Goes to show you, that posting too soon is not fair to the Drama.

Agree... just weird to me.. characters in Moving were not flawless by any means.

How? Weird Drama. FL is pretty but how is this going to be Romantic? She smiles at unnecessary times and is just terrible, deceitful, dirty B*** and the idiot mother and son is just stupid enough to be scammed. No superhero action or anything thru first 4 episodes other than a dream
This is nowhere near as good as kdrama MOVING. (2023). MOVING had my attention in the character stage. One of the best dramas 2023 but Atypical Family is just weird.

How can you force someone to be engaged? I get that they have to fill 120 episodes but why do they always make FL indecisive about feelings? Why not be creative around the process of ML/FL falling in love. If this is what i think it is I think i am going to drop now. Can't take the same thing over and over.

I can watcjh Han Hyo Joo in anything because i have yet to see her make a bad choice with her main or supprting cast roles in a long time. She is my Emily Blunt of Korea, can do any role well. Can't wait!!

I think they all had major flaws and acted more like high schoolers versus grown ups. She manipulated her way into that relationship and he accepted because he was rejected for the stupidest of reasons. Still trying to figure out why i watched this show. Oh, nothing worthwhile on Rakuten either.

This would make sense because they are not mature enough to be in a relationship at the end of episode 14.

Love?? I don't get this drama because the only real connection I saw was the ML and FL when she is not displaying her personality disorder, then after that its been all games and wackiness between all the characters. The actors are very good but the story is ridiculous and if this is how generic 20s or 30s act in Korea, no matter how good they look, it ain't worth it.

I don’t know why these directors, producers don’t instill surprises in these dramas once and a while like bringing some beautiful women into the bank that just steals the ML heart putting all the other women in their place.

I know these are 20s but accepting him as her boyfriend with no real feelings does him no good in the long run . Eventually she will hurt him so whomever is saying it’s okay because he makes her feel safe etc. is totally wrong. No relationship should be based on that premise. Just say what it really is, bad writing and I personally don’t like any of the characters. They all have issues and to me, there should be someone in the drama with proper direction and to cheer for this far into the season. They all stink but I am giving it 1 more episode before dropping.

Excellent drama and I like both couples.

It happened after she kissed him and confessed but they kind of made up for it later but I won’t spoil it for you because tilts such a good drama.

Are Korean men really that passive or is this just bad writing? Who would turn down a women that beautiful and he already like her in the first place. Just because he wasn’t the first one to admit or within some sort of pace. WTF?? I like both leads and I love the show but that outcome is stupid. Is this to drag the not being together on and on to cover more episodes. I love Korean dramas but the one thing they are not very creative about is a couple being together more than one or two episodes. Why not be creative with couple growing together instead of waiting until the last episode. They either do this or create unnecessary love triangles. Think outside the box writers and do something different.
