Who is he again? I don't remember names other than the main characters lol.
The other care giver (not the male lead). The one that go his figure bitten while trying to give medicine to a patient. The one that spread the rumors around hospital
MY is taking baby steps on the healing process, she understands her mistake and depend on her actions after seeing…
Exactly right! Still a little annoyed at ST to be honest but like you said nobody belongs to anybody. GT is also not ST's just like ST said he's not GT's.
I get what you're saying but I'm still on GT's side. I 100% agree that the lying is a no-no and should stop but…
That painting ST made doesn't contradict what he said to MY and GT. ST said GT was only allowed to play with him and MY was his best friend but that MY and GT couldn't play together alone. I believe ST wants GT and MY's lives to revolve around him (as brother and BFF) with no extra link between them. That's what upsets/annoys me about ST's character. But I concede that we are all human and everyone is a little selfish.
And how can you say GT's freedom is not being held back by ST? MY asked ST to live with her because she knew GT would not abandon his brother and that's why MY said "don't worry. GT can't abandon you". And after saying "ST is ST's, not yours" and hitting GT, what did ST do? He slept by the door waiting for GT then MY said what she said. Which means if GT had decided not to go and live with ST and MY that would have seen as abandonment which clearly shows that GT has no choice. GT doesn't need to make every decision for ST but everyone of ST's decisions/actions affect/ may affect GT. I honestly can't blame him for being cautious
I just love how show really amazed me. I understand how everyone is taking on GT side. Don't get me wrong, it…
I get what you're saying but I'm still on GT's side. I 100% agree that the lying is a no-no and should stop but allow me to address your second point. I believe ST wouldn't have understood. He has stated twice now, once to GT and once to MY that MY is allowed to 'play and have' Mang Tae (the doll) and not GT.
And to respond to the first and third point, if ST truly understands everything around him and understands GT then I like him even less now because it is obvious that GT is tragically unhappy with this life that only revolves around ST. That means ST knows this, then the least he could do is give GT a little wiggle room to allow him to find a little happiness in his life. Since ST understands, he should want this for GT even if he is sacred of losing GT because he would also understand that GT has selflessly taken care of him for all these years.
Guys,, cried so much again. This episode was so good. Like holy crap.I forgot that the thing she stole was supposed…
I'm also excited about the revelation of Mun Yeong's past. I obviously don't like the father, he has tried to choke his daughter to death ATLEAST twice but I've had this feeling since early on that I won't like the mom much either.
IMHO ISWAK, TKA, and Playful Kiss are still the best adaptation of Itsura na Kiss (haven’t watched the 1996…
I know this is beside the point you were trying to make but I have to let out this bottled anger somewhere. I HATE Playful Kiss. There, I said it. Let me explain why, for the male lead character (Korean Naoki), I can't feel/tell that he is developing feelings for the female lead character (Korean Kotoko). As for the Korean Kotoko, for some reason she comes off as especially dumb, dare I say stupid, to me. I know it probably doesn't make sense to hate that adaptation so much and like most others but there you have it. I really don't like Playful Kiss.
I hope I didn't offend you. It's just that every time I come across an Itazura na Kiss adaptation, Playful Kiss comes up and these thoughts rattle around in my brain begging to be let out and fortunately or unfortunately this time I gave in. I'm the only drama watcher in my circle of friends and in my family so my thoughts on dramas usually remain unheard.
I've just finished episode 1/24 (not 1/12 ;) ) and I have to say that I don't see how I could forgive/ like the old man after seeing that. Poor guy and his mom saw it happen too. The synopsis really down plays the treatment that the old man inflicts on him.
Having seen both the original and the kdrama remake I don't know why am suprised by how much of an ass the ML…
About the present, in the ML's defense, he thought it was a box carrying chopsticks, spoons and such. He didn't know it was a birthday present. Anson should've given it back to him or atleast told him about it once he figured out what it was.
I just watched episode 17 and I think the talk between ML and FL after the auction isn't as impactful as it was in the Korean version simply because I don't feel the 'love' yet between them. I think it was premature. Most of the time, the ML shows concern towards the FL when he is jealous of Dylan or when he is manipulated by the grandmother. I don't think the ML has been nice enough towards FL for her to say she wants him to stop being nice in case she is reluctant to leave in the future. Of course this could simply be my problem
I haven't watched the show yet, I want to but I can't seem to get myself to start. Voice profiling seems a little far fetched. What if there is no voice recording to work with or the criminal doesn't say anything or there's no witness or the victim dies. I mean it seems too specific a skill to be of great use.
I can maybe understand Nai forgiving Nok for all the mean things she did, afterall, she is the "woman of his dreams", "the love of his life" but the grandmother, absolutely not. Don't get me wrong, some of the things Nok said to Nai broke my heart, almost to tears but I guess if he loves her, he loves her.
But the grandmother?! Whatever her reasons, the way she beat him up that one time was devastating. And afterwards, nobody immediately rushed to see if he was ok. That said to me that it was probably a common occurrence, I found that depressing. I would never have forgiven her even after an apology. The most I would've been able to manage would be extreme politeness. I'd say and do the right things but my demeanor would make it very clear that we are not close, not by a long shot.
Don't bring your twisted view of the world into this. If you continue to watch the show, you will see that when…
To your first point, if the drama didn't convince you that their relationship is genuine then that's that. Too bad for the drama, i guess. Maybe it really would've been better to show more of their 9 years together.
To your second point, I would've loved some examples of the misogyny and sexism you see in this drama. But since you won't reply anymore, oh well... There is probably a lot of misogyny and sexism in a lot of K-dramas but I didn't notice it here. I concede that there is a power imbalance but even if their genders were swapped it would still exist.
I think you're reading too much into the tie thing. I think it was supposed to be something unique to them as a team, express a sense of familiarity and closeness between them. Because the incompetent secretary and her boss had a purely professional relationship. I admit the gesture did make me uncomfortable but I believe that is the point like I said to show how much he relies on her and how familiar they are.
I just read Kim Ji Yong, Born in 1982 then started watching this drama. Bad choice. Now all I can see is just…
Don't bring your twisted view of the world into this. If you continue to watch the show, you will see that when she started working for him, she was under-qualified (untrained and inexperienced in the secretarial arts). She has grown professionally over the course of the years that they have worked together and they have both 'taken care' of each other in their own ways over the years (you'll understand if you continue to watch the show). But setting that aside, she is currently trained, experienced and hired as a SECRETARY. Furthermore she is the secretary of the vice chairman who runs the company, the top dog. She can't rise any higher in the company atleast not as a secretary. Unless you're telling me you expect her to be suddenly promoted to manager and also what's wrong with being a secretary? She gets raises and benefits. And lastly if she wants another position besides being secretary, she naturally should take the initiative to find out what she needs to do qualify for something besides being secretary. And ofcourse anything that goes above what a secretary would do in real life like fixing his tie is added for dramatic effect since it is a drama afterall.
If you choose to see misogyny and sexism wherever you look (even when it's not there) that's your choice but don't spread that to the world. The world we should strive to create is one of true gender equality not a 'men vs women world'.
And how can you say GT's freedom is not being held back by ST? MY asked ST to live with her because she knew GT would not abandon his brother and that's why MY said "don't worry.
