was aiming to finish editing it in 2018 and well, it's 2019 now and the show is v much done airing and i hope i'm not too late. (: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS59PCLemzE
Well ships in a second part are very promising. Yoo Ri and Ki Bong are awesome together - I am very suprised because…
i agree with every single thing you just said. i think jung euns storyline with the note was the first time i found a scene of hers humorous. most of her scenes have been very forgettable/ not something i feel entirely invested in. overall, i think her scenes are coming off a bit lackluster due to soo hees acting and in contrast to the rest of the actors acting presence and overall charisma. (i really like the way they have written the male characters in the past few episodes, having them really just go out of their way for the girls has been v charming)
Yeah i do not understand this moment too... Perhaps the grandpa was first angry because his son hid himself for…
during their first meet, it would make sense for it to have been because of his son having disappeared and overall just running away from his problems and leaving hwa pyung behind but there was just this unexplainable wickedness in the grandpa. you have this man who has been apparently following up on every possible lead for the past 5(?) years in order to find his son and then he finally comes face to face with him and he acts like that? that whole vibe of him at the moment was like he knew exactly where the son was and just magically appeared there like a possessed person. and then the way he lied about telling his son to kill hwa pyung was crazy. why set something like that in motion and jump in the second it starts and then never own up to ever having any involvement. the manipulation from him involving his son was very unnerving.
something that i am confused by... why was the grandpa acting hostile the first time he saw his son and then the second time he met him, he was acting like it was the first time and he seemed happy? the grandpa came off as evil during their first encounter so how did that change from hostile to grateful come about when they met for the second time? (we were misled to think he was possessed/ park ll do so it was just a red herring. so why was he acting that way towards his son?)
the writing and overall direction of this series is great. i really appreciated the way they handled ma ru's assault. labeling it for what it was. they addressed that just because you're in a relationship that doesn't mean that you are entitled to your partner's body. regardless, without consent, it is sexual assault. ma ru and soo kyung are giving me more than friends vibes. when they were together on their little getaway i felt like they were on a date. i don't know if the series will go there but it would be nice to see them developing feelings for one another and start dating.
i was hoping he wasn't saved and the others were killed as well. i felt no sympathy for them
he was such a disgusting person to that man. once we were shown how he enabled a group of grown men to torment a guy simply just because, i didn't want kil yeong to risk her life in the process of saving his. every other man in that group who laughed and contributed to that mans death really had it coming. i'm glad though that the woman who got possessed wasn't the one to do it. that would have just caused irreparable damage to her life and more trauma .through a different way, i would have liked to see all those evil men get their comeuppance.
i'm also confused bc of that. it made me question the whole convo that they had when they were eating together.…
okay, so i just checked the ep where they mention it and kil yeong says, "my kid is in sixth grade. his education expenses are killing me." so i think you might be right about the possibility of her child not living with her. her not having anyone to come home to helps pave the way for her to be a workaholic. she's able to fixate on catching criminals and not have to be alone for too long. i'm thinking that she might have meant that she doesn't have anyone currently around her. no one for her to look after and no one to look after her. like in the physical sense bc she is very much responsible for her childs tuition but she probably doesn't see him much.
In episode 6, Detective Kang said that she doesn't have a family. However, in an earlier episode, she said she…
i'm also confused bc of that. it made me question the whole convo that they had when they were eating together. maybe she was trying to distance herself from what hwa pyung said, the fact that she doesn't have anyone/ no one goes near her bc of the way she is. so she said she has a kid to show that she did in fact meet someone at some point? or were they just joking around in regards to their lives?
stray observations: it was a weird feeling when the tormentor (of the guy who was ultimately driven to suicide bc of constant abuse by said person) was really in danger at one point and you weren't really rooting for him to be saved once you realized what he had put that poor guy through. also, when you realize that in hwa pyungs efforts to track down park ll do, it might ultimately cause the death of his grandfather. aside from that, loved that the possessed person was a woman and love that kil yeong is in the process of dealing with her misplaced blame and overall guilt. using her fists on hwa pyung wasn't going to set things right and she knows that. bc a person getting possessed ultimately isn't up to them. seeing her come to terms with that and heal, i'm here for that.
when dong cheol had come back from infiltrating the cult he told his friends that the people there seemed happy. it was a small moment that you could've missed without putting much thought behind it but dong cheols words have a way of coming back. i hope he doesn't get consumed by the cult while he's undercover there because they pray on the broken. it's easy to get swept up in that type of situation when you're not at your best and you're lacking stability. it can end up in you being completely consumed. it's a glimpse into what dong cheol is thinking and i hope it's just something that he recognized and wasnt tempted by.
