zhang ruonan is so fucking talented man, no matter how much i rewatch i always get teary eyed at the scene where she gets overwhelmed and thanks sang yan for catching her- she's phenomenal!! i am a FAN.

it's a slowburn. the plot is pretty strong and the chemistry is off the charts as well. they'll get together in ep 19 tho. no breakups.

i had the same thought at first tbh, but, since this drama is an S+ drama, they needed more experienced and popular actors for this role. i am not demeaning victor ma's skills, but he is still new and has a lot of time to grow mainstream. the leads here have done a PHENOMENAL job. the sang yan in this drama is wayyy different than the sang yan we saw in hidden love (that SY was from sang zhi's pov but here we could see the real SY- the one who has a life apart from his family). hence, in my opinion, no one other than BJT could do such justice to sang yan. dw, just give it a watch, and you'll know what i am talking about 💌
