(FIRST REVIEW) A Refreshing Forecast with Clear Skies and a Few Cloudy Patches ☀️

Forecasting Love and Weather surprised me in a good way. I went into it mainly for Park Min Young, and I’m glad I stayed because it offered something I hadn’t really seen before in any drama: a deep dive into the world of weather forecasting. That theme alone made it feel unique and fresh. It was actually super cool and inspiring to see the professional side of meteorologists, and how weather affects people not just physically, but emotionally and relationally too.

The show does a great job balancing comedy and seriousness. There are plenty of moments that made me laugh, but also a few scenes that caught me off guard with how emotional they were.

I also really enjoyed how the show displayed weather forecasts and meteorological terms right on the screen, along with simple explanations. It made learning about the science behind forecasting fun and engaging, adding an educational layer without feeling like a lecture. It’s a neat touch that made watching even more immersive.

As for the romance—this is where things get a little mixed. The chemistry between Park Min Young and Song Kang didn’t fully click for me. Both actors did a good job in their own right—Park Min Young, who I already liked, was solid as expected. Song Kang, who I was seeing for the first time, wasn’t bad at all—he was good. Just not great. The issue wasn’t their individual performances, but rather that they didn’t match well together as a couple. Honestly, I found myself more invested in the chemistry between the side characters, which was surprisingly strong and more believable at times.

Speaking of characters, my favorite was Senior Forecaster Um. His story hit close to home—super relatable, sometimes sad, sometimes hilarious. Whether he was making me tear up or laugh out loud, he was the emotional core of the drama for me.

Overall, Forecasting Love and Weather is worth checking out. It’s got a refreshingly original plot, strong character moments, and a setting that stands out from most typical romance dramas. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you’re in the mood for something that blends slice-of-life work drama with a light romantic lens.
