The stepmother has her eyes set on Gla. The looks she was giving to Khim before the chaos, (elevator scene and when she visited the well-being school farm) were looks of jealousy.
When Gla attempted to suicide to sell his kidney, Asia saw that as an opportunity for her to live and if by chance Gla will live, she can have him wrap around her finger.
I think the father of Khim did not intend to kill Gla. Just want him to be far away from Khim but Asia saw the father handling a document to the doctors maybe it was staged/planned by Asia to convinced the father of letting Gla donate his kidney to Nate.
Khim’s character after 7 years, I see no development. Still the same naive and crybaby Khim.
Romeo needs saving too. A strong, brave and bold heroine character is a must for this type of plot. Tired of watching Khim cries almost every episode.
Cheng Shao Shang got engaged three times in total. The first time was with Lou Yao, a son of an aristocratic family, but later for the sake of the family and the country, Cheng Shao Shang chose to break off the engagement with Lou Yao, letting him marry He Zhao Jun, whose family sacrificed their lives for the country.
The second engagement was with Ling Bu Yi. After breaking off the engagement with Lou Yao, Ling Bu Yi, who was attracted to Cheng Shao Shang for a long time, asked the emperor to let them get married. But in view of Cheng Shao Shang’s “rudeness”, the emperor planned to let the queen teach her for a period of time before the two could get married. During this time, those girls who like Ling Bu Yi tried many times to set her up but failed to do so. Under the guidance of the queen, Cheng Shao Shang became more mature and thoughtful, a person the queen can trust. With her growth, she and Ling Bu Yi still could not end up together. (I suspect this will be the end of part 1 of the drama)
Ling Bu Yi found out that his so-called father was actually the one who led to the demise of his family. Thus he chose the wrong way to take his bloody revenge, and in order to help the Third Prince to rise up, he put Cheng Shao Shang on the back burner. In order to save his life, Cheng Shao Shang dobbed him in and prevented the deterioration of the situation. She also pleaded for his life. As punishment, the emperor sent Ling Bu Yi to the frontier and canceled the marriage of the two. Cheng Shao Shang was heartbroken and never saw Ling Bu Yi again. Later, under Yuan Shen’s frantic pursuit, Cheng Shao Shang chose to be betrothed to him in order to forget Ling Bu Yi.
But in Cheng Shao Shang’s heart, she never forgot Ling Bu Yi. After Ling Bu Yi came back with the queen’s help, he disrupted her life again. Cheng Shao Shang and Yuan Shen broke off their engagement, so she and Ling Bu Yi reconciled, and finally got a happy ending.

PS: Hoping for a twist in the drama.
