Best drama in 2024
I am sad almost nobody is watching the drama even though it is available in international platform. She and Her Girls is one of the best dramas I ever watched. It is really touching and heartwarming. You'll laugh alot but cry a bit too. Magnificent casts & acting, EXCELLENT SCRIPT, lovely music, beautiful sets, truly the drama that SAVES the 2024 cdramaland.I almost never rewatch drama but I rewatch this even when it had not finished yet. I love watching all the funny moments, which were a lot. The story never bored ne (except during some of the long singing lol) and it is always fresh in each episode.
I also applaud the way they include many issues from gender equality, economic inequality, body dysphoria, governance, bureaucracy, even dating and danger of Internet and stigma against art education, all are real life issues which makes this very relatable.

(Good) Light On series is back!
The Hunt (2025) kinda saves the Light On series for me after a string of mediocre ones. Brilliantly acted by the main leads - Li Gengxi, Bai Yufan, Huang Xuan keep up their great portfolio. The drama is a cautionary tale of love, death, and injustice. Some Some parts still draggy and the flashbacks could be disorienting but still highly recommended.Was this review helpful to you?
Well-deserved Golden Rooster winner
I can't think of another movie that deserves to win the Golden Rooster this year aside from Her Story (released in 2024). It is charming, heart-warming, and timely with its progressive themes. The dialogues are smart but not pretentious. Made me laugh many times and in one special moment, thanks to Zhong Chuxi and Song Jia who deserved all the trophies in the world, made me teary eyed. I will be looking forward to more movies from Shao Yihui. I hope she makes more movies about women and their life experiences.Was this review helpful to you?
Fun but too short
I think even if you are not a fan of R1SE or IXFORM you would enjoy this laid back, but fun show. The cast was endearing, funny (Yanqi and Huaiwei are clowns)and of course easy on the eyes (Luo Yizhou, Xia Zhiguang). I like all the places they went, aside from the fancy resort that they first met, all can be enjoyed by anyone. They did some interesting activities including salt farming too. The chemistry worked really well with the boys. I wish there more episodes or they could get a full season this year.Was this review helpful to you?
