This show had so much potential. The story itself is really nice. Why is it in slow motion tho? I had to skip through a lot of scenes. The only thing I appreciated were the cooking montages. Those were well done. I feel like the actors didn't get to show their full potential, because of the lazy writing and extremely slow pace. That's such a shame really.
Ok. At first, I was like... 'Come on Jao, Sky seems to really like you!' But as the show went on I understood…
I haven't read the book. I understand the body issues Jao has, but after the camp episodes where Sky really expresses directly how supportive and caring he is of Jao despite those confidence issues, what else is Sky supposed to do? I'm not sure and I really want to see what Jao does next! As for Nuea and Toh I understand that he had his eye on him since before (I believe he explained it in the last episode) and that's the reason why he's fine with Toh's behaviours. Still, I'd love to see more growth in Toh.
Kinda agree, I think that my 15 years old self would enjoy this show very much but my adult self not so much...…
Oh yeah, I if was a teenager, I would totally eat it up. I do really hope that in the upcoming episodes we'll see some actual consequences and growing up from Toh. Otherwise the show is pretty good.
After watching ep 8 I gotta say: while the first 3-4 episodes I managed through only thanks to Jao and Sky, now it got flipped completely. I'm still really not okay with Toh's creepy behaviours and obsessive collecting, but at least Nuea seems fine with it? Maybe it got lost in the context, but why exactly is Jao so against Sky? The amount of courting the latter did is insane. He also seems very genuine and caring. At this point it's just confusing. Apart form all the cringe, the show is really interesting and I'm enjoying it a lot. Right now I really look forward to seeing more Toh's character development, cause he's still way too stalkerish imo. Even if Nuea is fine with it, it's not a good message to send to the viewers. At this point it feels like: "It's okay if you stalk and creep around your crush. They're gonna be fine with it and not find it weird at all."
