When typecasting goes very wrong lol. It’s one thing to be repeatedly cast as a mom, but another to always be the worst kind 😬

Exactly! People keep bringing up that JY committed tax evasion as if the family knew any of that when stealing…
Knowing that your inheritance was more likely than not the result of theft should produce a little more humility. You know, the fact that you’re probably a receiver of stolen goods? 🙄

Actually, when they knew there’d been a robbery they were concerned for her, as any husband and son would be. But bottom line: had she not been greedy and hid 10 million in her home (and from her family), none of this would be happening. All of this could have been prevented. I mean… 🤦🏽‍♀️

Umm, Ji Yeon herself is a THIEF!! What elsedo you call someone who evades taxes?? And the truth is that though…
When he discovered the family had the money, GJ tried as best he could to protect both his mother AND Da Rim’s family. Could he have gone about it differently? Maybe. But his plan was always for her to get “her money” back; he didn’t abandon her. BUT, in Ji Yeon’s world she has to be the center of attention and catered to at all times. How dare she not be number one. That’s why she’s angry. But she doesn’t see that it’s her own fault; that the person she is doesn’t leave room for the close relationships she craves. It’s actually sad. If she’d fostered an atmosphere where her family could actually TALK to her and be HEARD and UNDERSTOOD, maybe things could be different. Even in her marriage, her husband repeatedly asked her not to lie to him, but she habitually disregarded the value that was tantamount to him and did as she pleased with no regard for anyone but herself. She’s no victim.

It’s convenient to blame our actions on others so we’re free from being responsible for our own behavior — she’s made it a lifestyle! This leaves her with almost zero redeeming qualities, no matter how we try to spin it. (But tbh GJ is the only character I actually like in this whole drama.)

Sure, but we reap what we sow. The family is being held responsible for their actions. She’s planted greed, selfishness, and hypocrisy, so karma should deal nicely with her. Here’s hoping for a happy ending!

She has definitely yelled at the lawyer. There was no reason to screech at the bank since she got no pushback. But in any case, I just don’t have much sympathy for her because of her behavior. If she ends up alone, it will be due to her inability to consider that life does not revolve around her. The reason her husband and son don’t talk to her is because she doesn’t listen (like talking to a wall) and also was a habitual liar in her marriage. I disagree with saying that if GJ had talked to her things would be different. He already knew what her reaction would be, which is why he didn’t. She wants respect, but when has she given it? So we’ll have to agree to disagree.

Sure, evade them. But then recognize the hypocrisy of your own greed before looking down on others and playing the victim. Again, it would be wonderful poetic justice for her to have “her money” (most likely dirty money considering its origin) stolen and suffering the consequences of her own actions.

lol no. She’s doesn’t discriminate. Anyone who doesn’t agree with her or challenges her gets the same treatment. Very one note. I just think the character is written flatly and just comes across very juvenile. And waiting to be treated like an adult before she acts like one?? Not sure that’s how life works.

If she actually behaved like an adult, she might have a better relationship with her son. Kind of hard to communicate with someone who has the emotional intelligence of a toddler, only able to speak through screams and tantrums.

I’m not saying that what the family did was right, but the most ridiculous and horrible aspect of her character is that she has zero self-awareness and truly believes that she has is superior to this family, even before she found out that they had the money. Money which, let’s be honest, was probably stolen to begin with considering she’s the daughter of a loan shark. She has no moral ground to stand on. At least the family, when they realized it was from her, had at least the capacity to be ashamed of their actions. But she has no such character, no such understanding that she’s not above them. So at this point, a happy ending would be that the actual thieves steal the money on the way to the bank, she never gets a penny, and GJ ends up with DR and family, away from her screeching and rampant narcissism.

The point is that SHE knows she’s a thief and should be in jail. The family should have walked away from the money, but tbh, at least their reason for taking the money in the first place came from desperation to help a loved one…. What’s Ji Yeon’s excuse for evading taxes other than absolute greed and selfishness? She’s a total narcissist and should lose all imo.

So that means Ji Yeon has no right to look down on the family, being a thief herself. Her “outrage” is completely unjustified since she should’ve been the first one behind bars. The lack of self-awareness is ridiculous.

It was so satisfying to see the family of thieves getting arrested. I know the writer will magically fix everything…
Umm, Ji Yeon herself is a THIEF!! What elsedo you call someone who evades taxes?? And the truth is that though the family should have left the money where they found it, they did not intentionally steal from her. She is one of the worst characters I’ve seen — a total lack of self-awareness or intelligence. I hope she loses everything, including the son she claims to love. The same one, btw, that she quickly abandoned when she thought the chairman would divorce her 🙄

Cry me a river, Hyun Oh. Cry me a river 😭🙄 I don’t care what trauma he has, the way he treated Eun Ho is ridiculous and I don’t believe he deserves a second chance. The crocodile tears are a little too late given how cold he’s been. One of the most unlikable characters I’ve ever seen. Hope the second ML is endgame or no one.
